I just see a bunch of that type stuff down at the beach. I saw an old Gotcha plug on my tackle bench corner of the shop that somehow made its way to the piedmont of NC from the coast and since I didn't have a proper key chain fooled with that a little and decided it just didn't look right without the treble hooks. When I dug around a little I fount the Sting Silver and remembered the 1 of the hooks on its single treble hook broke off I decided that I'd cut the other 2 off and leave the tail on it so it still resembled a fishing lure and not a wheel weight. Clipped a large swivel to it and then on to a ring and that's it.
Here's a Gotcha plug
And a few Sting Silvers (these things will get the Craoker up in the Chesapeake)

Just simple, but reuses the original parts when they can't be used for their intended purposes anymore.
NOTE: This is rears only, I still haven't figured out what to do with the front caps yet and I have 3-4 of them that can't be used anymore due to various reasons.

CB I only have fronts as extras, but I was curious on what you used to cut those out with ? Band saw ?

I put the whole cap in a vice and then with a silver pain pen marked it.
I used a cutoff wheel.
Makes more dust than anything... smells bad.
After that, trimmed up with flap wheel, then drilled hole, then put key-chain loop in after painting.

Interesting on the key chains. Anyway got my wheels back from paint today. Was looking around to find someone to pin stripe the wheels but have not found anyone who does wheels. Not really to worried about that, if I'm not able to get that done. Got 2 tires in for mounting and will get the other 3 in sometime next week. BFGs

My “workbench” today is the back patio table.
I wouldn’t ordinarily spend tap/die time on mounting plate bolts, but I lost my job a couple of weeks ago and so find myself with lots of extra time these days... and besides, it was 84F in South Florida today... /cheers
