This is Kirby (7) and Rudy (11). They are Bouvier de Flanders. And the reason that when travelling in Mexico... I just leave the keys to my vehicles in the ignition.
And here is Boomer, my first Bouvier (145 lbs) and the sign on below the window to inform people his extreme dislike of nosey people. May he forever play on the dog beach in heaven.
This is Rose, AKA Rose Nose. She is a approximately 4 year old deer headed Chihuahua rescue from the local Humane Society. Since getting her last year, my wife has been working with her extensively. Rose now has her canine good citizenship award and is a registered pet therapy dog. She goes almost every day with my wife to work (wife is a nurse in a lock down alzheimers/dimentia unit). The staff and residents there love her as she is content to sit on a lap all day. She is very submissive and not a barker which is very uncharacteristic of a Chihuahua.
Spotty, an Australian Shepherd mix my sister in law found on the side of the road that's dumb as a freaking brick and more like a cat than a dog, on a ride in the Scrambler with his insane floppy ears going flying nun:
Rusty, one of the smartest dogs I've ever seen and other than liking to bark at people/things outside is a great dog. She's a "Durham Mutt" according to our vet in NC where we took her after getting her from a shelter frostbit and dirty as hell. Mostly boxer with german shepherd and who knows what else up in there. She's going deaf and that helps with the barking:
I'll try and make it less off topic ;-)
Side note: Annie (the dog) is wearing a chest harness with a loop on the back. I've got a tether from a child/infant seat connected to that, running between the seat bottom and seat back, and connected to the Fold & Tumble seat bracket via a carabiner. Keeps the dog in the Jeep and keeps her from flying around as much - braking especially.
This is Jessie, our 5yo lab mix. She's a rescue dog, constant companion, and we spoil her rotten.
Carol and Jessie at Rogue Brewing's Founder's Day "Dogs and owner look alike contest".
Jessie loves the beach-
And there's our old girl, Bailey. Another rescue dog, a black lab. She's 12+ years old, and has a host of physical issues...but she's happy and not in pain. Not many good pictures of her, she hates the car- we think she was in a wreck when young- she freaks out when she hears tires squealing. So we let her stay at home...
KEEP AWAY FROM THE JEEP ! Or Foxy our 9 lb Pomeranian will tear your head off.
We bought her for my Wife 9 years ago, but I have to admit. I haven't ever had a better dog...she will put a smile on your face every time you see her.
