Gentleman,
A friend of mine with five (5) postals is seriously considering liquidating her fleet. I believe she acquired them all from the same person, who bought them as a lot from the auction. Only one of them ran when she got them, and that was the one that she did SOA on, put on some large Boggers, and used for wheeling. That postal went down when she opted for a 4.0 swap, that was subsequently not completed. (She was an Army mechanic; she knows how to turn a wrench, but you know how projects go sometimes.)
She is now freshly married and moving into a new house with her husband. She has also moved into an XJ, which is also nicely built and sitting on 35" or 37" Boggers, and is a more practical (and operational) family wheeler for her.
None of the postals run, and none of them are even complete (all are missing significant components in some fashion or another), so you should not expect to fly up, slap on a fresh starter or likewise, change fluids, and drive home.
She wants to get through moose season (October) before she turns her attention to these. She would also entertain selling just the World Cabs.
FWIW, I recently learned that it costs $200 in materials to crate a World Cab (exclusive of two pallets, and exclusive of the labor to disassemble a World Cab and then build a crate). Barge shipping to Washington State will be in the $300 range. Shipping to the east coast from WA is in the $850 range.
Please post up if you are interested in acquiring either a World Cab, or a non-complete and non-running postal. I will update this thread as details become available. Once she is at an actual point in time for sales, I will create a new thread in the "for sale" section as appropriate.
