TrebleHook's 1983 Scrambler Laredo

When I was building my Scrambler, my rear shackle angle was worse than yours. I put 2 55 gallon drums in the bed and filled them with water, and let it sit that way for a week or so. It helped some, went from being angled forward to being straight up and down.

I was thinking of just hooking my new trailer up to it....and letting it sit. Less weight than 900 lbs of water - but same idea. Will report! Cheers, Dylan

.

Really like the direction you're going w/ this one.

Keeping the original paint, but making some tasteful upgrades!

If the trailer does not do the trick, you can remove the the bottom leaf, it will soften em up. You can always re install it. If you do this make sure you use c-clamps to hold the leaves together till the nut is off, otherwise you may strip the threads on the center pin, ask me how I know...

Come on over and let's pull out the add-a-leaf. You always stick it back in latter, if you need it.

Well, the add-a-leaf and shims are gone! So is the driveshaft wobble AND it rides so so so much softer. The change added 4* to the pinion angle and that did it. Thanks John!

Cheers,
Dylan

"AND it rides so so so much softer"

That is good to hear, had the same effect on mine (YJ springs). +1 on the direction this one is going.

Soft top is on! I was a little concerned with everything I've heard about Bestop of late, but I'm impressed - and I got a great deal on it. It's seems very nice, well built. Install was smooth even though it was a bit chillier than preferred for soft top fitting.

Love that I can slide my seat all the way back and the interior seems CAVERNOUS! It's much much quieter than the half-cab.

Heading to the fabricators on Wednesday for the cage! That'll give me a couple of weeks to plan what's next!

Cheers,
Dylan

Black on black looks great! What's your plan with your roll cage? More specifically, will you have a roll cage that you can use with a half top and take on and off?

Along with your full soft top. A roll cage that can be interchangeable with both half top and full top.
