Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

We can get a mixed box from Beer Camp over here. Now I know it's out if better put my order in.

My wife and I happened to be on the Navy Pier in Chicago on the morning of the day they were doing one of the Beer Camp events last spring. KILLED ME that we couldn't stay for it... had to go be on Antiques Roadshow, which I was very psyched about (until I found out our treasures weren't going to be enough to retire on )

What did you take? Did you make it onto TV? My dad went last year with some dishes. He did not make it on TV. At least he was not used as one of the "fakes" they will put on.

Haven't seen the show yet. Have them recording until the Chicago show comes on. We didn't get the full-on interviews and didn't see any being done. Our two lines were almost non-existent when we got inside. Art and some others were INSANELY long, but we only had to wait for 2-3 people in ours.

I took 1) a pair of boxing trunks of my grandfather's that he got signed by Babe Ruth in Boston Garden on the night of Babe's second and last try at refereeing pro wrestling after he quit baseball and before his health turned south. A promoter thought he would draw big crowds and therefore $$$, but it didn't work. He never did it again. My grandfather boxed an AAU tournament and Ruth came to watch. Thought the tie to the very odd piece of Ruth's history might be enough to get on TV, even if the trunks weren't valuable. 2) a set of periscope lenses and data plate from a WWI submarine that I rescued from the trash when I worked at the Navy. Didn't figure there'd be all that many sets of those out there and it's neat to see how many separate lenses there are. They're HEAVY bastards and I had to drag all of it through the lines to find out all of the value (and not a lot of it) is in the little brass data plate

We did the feedback booth with the trunks, trying to see if that might make it on.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Awesome. Let us know. I like the show but have not had time to watch recently.

Dinner with my beautiful wife at Three Creeks Brewery in Sisters. I'm having Nite Ski Oatmeal Stout, she's drinking Dark Hollow Harvest Ale. Prime rib special for dinner, then off to a local Casey Abrams concert! Great date night!

Short trip to Nashville area. Some jeep stuff with fellow member letchcore. More details in the road trip thread. Eventually :)

I bought some of this before the blizzard that never happened. I cracked open the first one after cleaning up 6" of snow. GREAT beer. The regular rebel IPA is awesome. This kicks it up a notch

Yeah I never even heard of it but when I was going to get blizzard rations it was there at the store on display. I didn't take any convincing :)

Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout on tap. Uber rare and completely insane. Off the chart.

Started looking back a few pages on this thread and I'm impressed. I see lots of beers I've never heard of... But many I have tried... Here is a few shots of my man cave with my beer bottle collection of beers I've tried... No duplicates... And these pics are about 4 months old. I think at the time I was a few under 300 and by now I'm most definitely more than a few over 300 different beers tried... Not bragging but it's just another passion I have besides Jeeps!!

Anyone else collect their bottles? CHEERS!!

I collected once a long time ago. When I moved, they got recycled. I was poorer then and the micro brew craze had not hit, so I did not have an extensive collection.

Here is what I had last night (in addition to the last Sam's Christmas Ale)

Nice bottle collection! I was collecting the painted label 22oz bottles for awhile, they're still in a box somewhere.

Tonight was a Bud Light, then a Rolling Rock, and now a Ninkasi 22oz Sleighr. The first two were at a meeting with the new owner of the off road race park here. Looks like I'm a cheap date- a couple cheap beers and I'm volunteering to help run marketing and promotion!
