What are you guys cooking!?

Wow. You have just set the bar VERY high. "I am not worthy"

Just having fun. I will be following this thread. I need to get better with my grill. I want to step it up and get a smoker too.

Oh yea, count me in on following this one.

Sorry no pictures, but last night we had Scallops, Jumbo Shrimp, Asparagus, Zucchini, and Pineapple on the grill.

Used a mix of 1/4 cup of Orange Juice, 1/3 cup Soy sauce, a tablespoon of brown sugar, and a thumb sized piece of ginger for the marinade. Grate the ginger and combine with other liquids, add a couple dashes of red-pepper flake to give it a little heat. After de-veining the shrimp and cleaning the Scallops let the marinade sit for 15-20 minutes while you cut the pineapple into 1/2 to 3/4 inch rings. Cut zucchini length wise, and lightly oil and sea salt it and the asparagus.

Grill the pineapple rings and zucchini first for about 10 minutes, then place you scallops and shrimp on, give everything about 6 minutes then flip, careful with the scallops, I give about 5 minutes on the back and remove everything but the pineapple and the zucchini which stays for another 4-6 minutes. Meat needs to rest for a few moments anyway. If you like, hit the pineapple with a good flame for a moment on both sides to made the sugars really caramelize in it.

Plate and serve, had a small salad with fresh berries as well, drink was a Virginia Viognier.

Give it a shot, Mike

And yes I am so following this thread!!

Some chops with a store brand Smokey Ranchero seasoning along with some baked potato. Not bad for store bought. Whoever coined the phrase everything is better on the grill was dead on right.

I thought we had another thread on this but I'll share my pics when I actually get my new grill on my deck. Right now the jeeps are blocking the path.lol

Steaks fresh from Creekstone Farms packing today. Already aged 40 days. Dry rubbed with blend of coffee, cocoa, & chili powder. (I usually season steaks with nothing more than salt and pepper.) Grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Thanks! Now I won't feel bad when I grill my Costco brand "beef" patties and "turkey" burgers.

By the way, two nights ago I grilled 8 Ball Park Franks (chicken). I was just ashamed to post it.

Now you went and did it. Cooking and BBQ are my passion. Some ribs smoked for 4 hours and then rendered for another hour under low heat on the grill.

No food yet but my new BBQ has arrived.😎😎😎😎😎😎

Nice one Chase. I'm a regular contributor to "Chris Hagers Grilled Thread" over on JF. Some mighty fine qzine going on over there and I can see this going the same way
I've been wanting to do my own bacon, got the pink curing salt #2 or whatever it is, just thought I'd ask you to expand on the complete recipe for us all?

Tonight I grilled burgers and dogs for Brooklynz28 and certifiable jeep.
