Yep, with my old job I got to travel to Denton and Mckinny Texas fairly often. There was a lawyer there from the Falfiles forum who was into Deuce and halfs, and he'd buy the pallets at auction, cherry pick a few to keep, then sell the rest for what he paid for them.

I loaded down the back of my old Honda Accord with so many cans I couldn't see out the back windows. Trunk was full too. Made a couple of loads that way. $2/can.

Also picked up some wooden artillary shell crates up for $5 each on the side of the road up in Oklahoma on my way home.

Used to pick up all kinds of cool stuff in little towns when I was traveling around a lot.

And run em through the woods and tell Kim how indestructible they are :p

I'll be your Huckleberry:eek::eek::eek:

Got my flaming river ignition switch and new heater control cables. Cables are made by MTS company. Same company that makes the poly tanks. These cables look top notch, they slide easy, have a heavy duty nut and the treads are made of metal. The cables are very flexible and have a solid steel end to fit in the slots on the heater ducts. Even came with the clip to hold the cable. Can't wait to see in action. Also picked up some stainless steel hardware for the jeeps.

Nice! thanks for mentioning them. anything MTS makes has got to be better than the other junk.

Just in my hands they are very easy to slide and easily bent them in a U shape. Reminds me of a 10 speed bike's shifting cable (with solid instead of multi strand cable). A guy on ebay partnered with them to sell. Price is a little steep but the way they feel and look will be the last set I buy the the cj7. The cj8 I'm building last winter I had a set of crown I just bought and installed. I had to jb weld one of them in when the plastic tabs that hold them broke during the install. The others were loose (can pull the handle sideways along the front of the dash that much movement with the dash mount). Also they were quite tight to pull to activate the defrost and temp (even after lithium grease on the mounts and arms). When I saw these, that was the answer. Not going to play the game with the china crap if I can help it. They are also made in the U.S.A.. Now I have to see if I can get the jb weld off the back of the dash/cable and then order another set.

Figured I would give it a go... gasket is just too thick and not pliable enough, I can get the bottom in without much of an issue, but the sides in the corners ooze out the front, just too much material and too thick and being colder doesn't help either.

The place called me back and said they wouldn't charge me for the labor (2-3 hours they were here) and they couldn't find any tinted glass, but could come back with a new piece and do it for $450 (glass and labor)... after saying that they broke the glass and it needed to be replaced, they said that was what the labor was... before I got too mad, I just laughed an hung up. Haven't heard much after that, and thus why I will just do it myself, it isn't hard now that I have suction cups :) I just need to trade you for an original gasket.

You better get that out of the house before your wife gets home from shopping. :)
If you have her permission then you're the man.
