Building a Brute

This is coming next year I believe.

No! That's the Brute available now from AEV. Everyone who writes about the new pickup truck shows a Brute and doesn't indicate that it has ZERO to do with the new Jeep pickup. For all we know, it's a one-piece body, not a divorced cab like the JK Brute. Something like the Mopar JK8 kit (which they're not making anymore) or the new kit that Matt (owner of this forum) is selling through GR8TOPS, the JKUte:

Goes without saying that the new pickup will also to be based on the new JL. While they're supposed to look similar externally, aftermarket companies are being told there will essentially be zero carryover to the new one. Sorry, but this is a MASSIVE pet peeve of mine

Back on topic, I'm shocked you could get this kit at all, it went out of production quite a while ago. Always liked the TJ/LJ version of this better than the JK (not that the JK version looks horrible).

Good luck on the build.

Aware of that BW, I should have said "this Jeep ute-type of thing kind of nearly" ....

Wow I'm surprised they are changing that much.

I'm going to guess that they are not changing THAT much, just enough that every bolt on JK item won't line up with the JL stuff. Probably be off by less than 1/4".

Yeah, my bad man, I didn't mean to go off the handle on you. I'm always on social media for the magazine and I guarantee that 98% of people out there think that the AEV brute is an official Jeep concept that shows the new truck.

I completely overreacted on that commentary, sorry.

Just that it's quite different. MOPAR has all sorts of aftermarket stuff for the JKs now and if they change things up, they do the same to themselves. I'm sure parts will be close here and there and I would hope that what I've heard is wrong, but the aftermarket companies are preparing for it to be a new ballgame.

That one I posted up was an AEV conversion, but it was done right. Love the tailgate latch handles. Sorry I caused the thread hijack. :o The TJ Brute was something I had considered at one time, before I picked up the second Scrambler.

Schlap, can't wait to see how yours comes together!

Coming together. 4" Pro Comp suspension lift, S&B cold air intake, 32" Maxxis, Warn Winch, new front bumper, fog lights at the windshield, everything but a new motor...I see a hemi in my future.
