Sold the Scrambler - It's been a good ride

I sold my Scrambler on Sunday. Thanks for the advise, info, and camaraderie. I've been pretty active on this board for several years and made some good friends as a result.

Once our boys came along the Jeep sat in the garage more and more. It had not even been registered in three years. I wasn't really looking to sell yet, but the opportunity presented itself.

The gentleman who bought it is a member so I'm sure you'll be seeing more of it. Hopefully he'll finish all the little odds and ends that I never got around to.

Here is a couple pictures I took on Friday after riding around with the boys. Good memories.

I came to buy extra set of wood rails, never expected a few weeks later coming home with the entire Jeep.

bobbysjeep, sorry to see you sell it off, but completely understand. I had youngens once. They are more important then a vehicle any day. Plus take it from me, they are worth more in the end and you can always get another one. rubclt, congrats. Take care of it.

Bobby, sorry to see you go. There's probably another on in your future. Take Care!

Rubclt- You got a nice one!

Wow, didn't see this coming.

Congrats on an awesome purchase Chris! :headbang:

Think Eric (JerseyJeeps) will be the next one. He hasn't posted here in nearly two months. Who wants to place a bet that the Overlander will be listed soon?

Life is constantly changing, Jeeps are just a part of it.

Not a chance, him not posting on here has nothing to do with any loss of Jeep/Scrambler love.

Sorry to see a Scrambler sold, but glad it's found another great home. You'll be back, mark my words ;)

Sorry to see you let it go, yours has always been one of my all-favorites on this board. I'm a garnet junkie! I continually found myself looking at pictures on your threads when referencing where a spot weld should go or how a new panel needed to be shaped/fabbed while doing the rust repair on one of my postals. Glad it is staying part of this group!

... Glad it is staying part of this group!

...And I hope Bobbysjeep will remain part of this group as well!

Losing a Scrambler is one thing (which in this case, is not a factor), but losing a source of Scrambler knowledge/experience is another thing entirely....

Bobby, I hope you'll check in from time to time.

Thanks guys! I'm sure I'll still be a luker from time to time.

You never know! When I sold my first Jeep (Garnet CJ7) I regretted it for years. That's when I started looking for another one and found the my Scrambler.

As BW said, the likelihood of that is next to nil.

Like everyone else said, sorry to see you sell but I totally understand! I reference some of your threads all the time. Glad it went to another member who, I'm sure, will take care of it as well as you did!
