Had to pack up and ship out a few things and the weather was 60 again, so 2 trips to the dump to get rid of things... but still managed to cut a lot out and shape more... I hope to get back at it tonight and get this drilled in place and welded up. Also need to address all the holes in the back of the tub (like 5-6 of them) that must have held something in place inside... want to get rid of all that and clean it up nice.

Once this is done, rollbar time.

Another amazing day that turned into a lot of yard clean up and talking to people about parts and very little on the armor/tub.
But progress is being made... I drilled 4 holes ;) Tonight it is supposed to rain, so maybe I can get this drilled, ground down and welded up and be done with this!

Still fits and all the other holes are gone now...

Ugly now, but wil clean up nicely and will be ready for paint soon.

Snapped off a stainless steel bolt inside the dash hold down... that was pleasant :(

Shop shot... just trying to get the tub all set and then can weld up the bed... trying to get all the metal work done in the next couple weeks here so I can blow this all apart and get the frame finish welded, sandblasted and painted.

nothing is worse than drilling stainless bolts out! URGGH!

Got it out pretty easy... I had a nub and tried to heat it up and remove and that didn't work, so ground it flat and slowly stepped up... last one actually broke it free... retapped and it is good now... probably 15 mins or so... but yeah, I was fearful and very happy it went smoothly.

Dish soap and left hand drill bits. Stainless is pretty tough, glad it didn't bugger up in the hole .

Finally found a welding position that was better...

Then I got a sneaking suspicion I was being watched... and I didn't like what I saw...

I think the little guy is sick... he was walking in circles and not really rooting around and it was still light out... called animal control, left a message, we will see what they want to do about it.

Can't say for sure but we had one here that did the exact same thing. I dispatched it for it's own good.

Yeah, that was the plan last night... but then I think it went under the deck and never came back out and I got tired of waiting... we will see if it surfaces today...

Yesterday was one of our first warm days of the year. I think it hit 78deg. This is what crawled out from under our back deck. First one of the year.

About a month ago we had a opossum ( huge ) stumbling around in circles also. Found him a couple days later. Looked like something had made a meal out of it.
