CJ-8.com header image contest - Win something fun!

We've had the same header image on the forum for years. I think this was a carryover from way back in the vBulletin days that I put together. We likely have forum members who are younger than the computer I used. We want something newer and much cooler, so rather than me trying to come up with another half-assed version with my photochop skills, we thought it would be fun to throw it out to y'all.

With this software, we can go a little larger and can use the full width of the window but we don't want it to be enormous. So we'll put the size limits at 1200 pixels wide x 150 pixels high. Other than that, we want it to have "CJ-8.com" in it but we don't really have any other requirements. Just make something that looks cool and post it here.

I will come up with a gift for the winning artist and we can either give a year's membership or extend an existing membership for a year.

Quite boring and terrible photo chop skills on microsoft freebie paint and 5 minutes of time. Not a winner but a submittal that follows the rules (I think)

Nevermind its not skinny enough...but here is the source image if anyone wants to play with it. Someone with photo shop skills could remove the shadow and place it in a sea of skinny sand with a sand-swept cj-8.com logo made of stone....and scatter about some other Sandblast 8's as well!

That's the one I was thing when I saw gr8dain's post. That would a good one, but thinking the same thing about "rights"

^^ I do like the idea of incorporating sand into this, because Sandblast is the signature event of this forum, and should be on the header in some way

Confirmed that I own all rights to the image to do what I want, so BOOM!

Had to create an "O" from the "C" and make a dot from the dash, but it worked out better that I pictured in my head! Love that the software scales it with the window size too

Good point, I hadn't looked yet. Yeah, it's tiny in portrait, but that's a good thing. I don't want any wasted space on the phone!
