Current Scrambler pics

Since I took ownership of this 8, I had visions of going for relaxing drives through the country. Finally was able to go for a nice fall drive. Gave her a nice wash before parking in the garage until later. Absolutely perfect fall ride in Wisconsin tonight.

I did the same in mine tonight, but I've got it on restriction to dirt only. But it was nice going down logging trails in the sunset.
 
azbball and interceptor - you guys have an 8 at either end of the spectrum..........both great looking rides in their own right. Drive 'em! Glad you got to enjoy them this evening.

Is that rollbar padding/cover I spy? I just started digging around for options for mine, seems like there's nothing made for the 8 and some people have either made them custom or forced the CJ7 intended ones to fit by removing padding etc.

The PO had this installed. The brand is Rugged Ridge. There is a little padding in it, but not much. Seems to be decent quality and looks decent as well. I think the PO used this to cover up a bad paint job on the roll bar more than protection from a head banging against it.

Gotcha, thanks. I'm looking to protect the paint on the roll bar from little ones and fluffy ones that will be in the backseat. I also just like the look, kinda like what modern Wranglers come with. Anyone know the difference in roll bar diameter between the 7 and 8?
 
Hi everyone, not sure if there is a new member thread so I will just post this here. Bought this '82 from the family of a friend/coworker who sadly passed away 2 years ago. I plan to make a project out of her, gonna keep the original patina (minus rust) and just rehab the running gear and drivetrain. Love me some Scramblers
