Giving it a Jolt

My plan is to use the existing radiator, an electric pump and the cooling plates within the battery boxes to cool. Same loop will be used for the controller.

I gave @certifiablejeep the tank and am modifying the skid plate as the same for the rear battery box so unfortunately neither is available.

Will this be how you heat the vehicle also? Defrost windows etc.

One step at a time. Trying to get one thing done a day. There is something to say about slow but steady. I get lots of time to think things through. I am happy with how it’s turning out. Got the junction box to connect the back battery box to the front done. Small gray box below the ladder rack.

Have you run the vacuum pump to see how loud it is? The idea of that being the loudest thing on a Scrambler is kind of fascinating.

Downsized battery bracket to hold group 35 battery. Not 100% necessary but wanted to provide an extra inch for the contactor box to open (poor placement on my part).

Looking for some info. I need a toggle switch (on/off) that looks like the normal dash switches. I thought about using a head light or fan switch but both would require some modifications. Does anyone know of a simple on/off switch that will accept the stock chrome bezel and knob?

Could you use a headlight switch and find the terminals you need? I think(?) It should be pretty easy.

I have a couple that might fit the bill. One is rated 75 Amps, the other unknown. Both have screw on knobs. image.jpg

Looks like the one on the right is $7.99 on Amazon. I don’t have a spare bezel handy to see how the fit would be, but for the price it might be worth a chance. I’d send you this one, but shipping would be more than buying the Amazon one.

I’ll check when I get home this evening to see if I can find a spare bezel. Just remembered I didn’t use my wiper switch…

Looks like a good possibility, albeit very old school. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

So- the factory dash bezel fits very well on the 75 amp switch. However, the factory nut does not, so you would have to tighten up the outer nut first and then tighten up the hex nut from the back. Fitting the knob should be easy- a wiper knob goes on and seems to lock with a 1/8 turn. I’m thinking the factory nut could be retapped to fit. The shaft is a bit longer with more throw. Might be easier to work with A4A46458-26A3-48E1-BBEA-3EBB11D952A5.jpeg1A939822-715F-4D6D-8EBA-C7070EB00562.jpeg

Thanks, you've done all the leg work for me.

I've always loved NH plates. Kind of surprising the Woke movement hasn't focused on that motto....yet.
