I remember that yellow fire truck as a kid, I thought the 8 wheels was the coolest thing ever.
I scored a handful of used loose ones from a local FB listing yesterday, need to get a picture tonight.

I am/was up to about 90 of the newest one. I bet I was north of 150 of the Commando with camo paint. Also probably a 100 or so Gladiators in different colors.

Well we are looking on opposite sides of the country, so I can’t feel too bad about it. To anyone looking in the area north of Seattle, my apologies.
The other thing that has struck me has been how disparate the displays at various Walmarts have been. There are 2 or 3 Walmarts local to me that always have huge selections: Aisle displays, endcaps, multiple cardboard bins, and big wire frame bins. Others don’t seem to have much at all.
We recently traveled 250 miles across our state and stopped at 5 different Walmart stores along the way and at our destination. A couple of them didn’t have anything more than just had a sparse selection of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars in an aisle. A couple more had some small endcap displays. Only one had a free standing cardboard display bin. I think I came home with 6 more Scramblers, 4 of them from 1 store. It’s really weird how hit and miss it is.
Target stores have a consistently small selection of cars.
Has any seen the newest Scrambler anywhere other than Walmart or Target? Those are the only 2 stores I have found them in.
I am hoping that they start showing up at Fred Meyer, a regional PNW chain that is owned by Krogers. We probably do the bulk of our grocery shopping there. They always have large displays of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars and I have had a lot of success there in the past. Currently still finding Hot Wheels Commandos and Matchbox JKUs and Gladiators there.
On a somewhat related note, anyone else notice these more generic branded Adventure Force die cast vehicle showing up at Walmart? They have a green JKU and an orange Gladiator that I have found so far.

Hot Wheels Scramblers for sure. I have no doubt that each single run by Mattel is produced in far greater numbers than AMC produced actual Scramblers over their entire production run.

Mine too, you can tell by how loved it is. I might have a second one in there (or at the house with my son’s cars, not sure) as it was a favorite of mine. One of the bikes in the bed is missing the handlebars.
The general lee in there has some recreated show damage.
