Gladiator - Take 3

It sounds to me like you have an issue with the CAN bus somewhere in the engine or cabin harness. The intermittent ones are the worst, because how do you find it? It's a slow process of checking the A to A and B to B terminals/wires between all the modules on the main CAN bus and the STAR connector (basically the CAN hub). You actually have a few CAN buses, but your issues is probably on CAN C, the main bus. None of the other buses would carry run-critical information.

I'd start by doing a close inspection to any wires near any of the body or chassis work you've done. It can be easy to pinch a wire or two and not realize it, and modern wires are getting pretty flimsy, because they generally don't carry much current, so they don't need to be a very substantial gage anymore.

I've attached a schematic that shows the pin numbers at each module for CAN C +/- and lists an junction numbers in between
If there's something more specific that you want, I can try to get it. I think my YJ probably has less wiring in it than just the PCM on these new Jeeps.

I appreciate this! Also to add after the 1st set of 2 issues last week I replaced the green bus bar behind the glovebox with a MOPAR new one. NO change with my issues. I shared this with the dealer and they checked it along with the wires in that vicinity and found no issues. Looks like I have some work to do when I get it back if they don't find anything.

Hopefully it is just a nicked wire, but could be a PIA to find.

I had a similar issue with my new 2026 Ram 2500, my fault. I installed the factory installed power side steps. Part of the install entailed removing two tiny wires/pins from a harness connector and installing two new wires. This connector was buried under/over the steering column and pedals, major PIA. I made a note on the instructions that I very slightly damaged the insulation over another wire while de-pinning the connector. I mean slight. BUT, these wires all so very tiny/cheap/flimsy.

Long story short, about two weeks later, my truck started having major electrical malfunctions. It would start, run and drive fine, BUT nothing else would work. No touch screen, no dash, no AC, no PW/PL, no power mirrors, nothing electrical would work. Took it to the dealer, I showed the tech what I thought might be causing the issue from my install notes, yep, that was it. The tech plugged it into their diagnostic computer and it told him the fault was within that harness. They installed a new connector/repair harness, no issues since.

I noticed back in 2005, on my new TJ, how small the wires were compared to my old CJ's. Well, they have gotten substantially smaller and crappier since then.

This is one of the reasons I will no longer keep a new vehicle after the warranty period is up, or modify said new vehicle, . Too many small wires everywhere, major PIA to diagnose and repair problems. The newer vehicles have so many features and safety things that are really nice, as long as they are working.

Ozark Overland Adventures on youtube had an AMW swap done on his gladiator. During the process they had electrical issue, that i cannot recall specifics, but it required depinning and changing the plug out for another. This was on harness not touched by AMW for the swap if i remember right. If you can find his video and fast forward to that section it may or may not be related to what your seeing if they can't fix it.
