I had it made at a marine top fabricator in Vero Beach. Not cheap but really nice quality. They made another one for a good friend of mine in Colorado for $500 but he had to give them his old bestop bikini because they need the plastic lip that goes in the channel at the top of the windshield.
I agree. I actually went to the dealer when they got one with my son to order one. I had the order sheet ready: manual transmission, green, rubicon. I was ready. My plan was to order it that day. When my head smacked the roll bar I tried everything to fit but no joy.
The salesman came out...
I'm 6'6" and I couldn't fit in the Glad. I was disappointed for sure but I'm not sure I'd be willing to start modifying things in a brand new $60,000 rig just to fit in it. My Silverado is very comfortable and I didn't have to change a thing.
With the new, narrower wheels i found the rear wide flares stuck out further than the wheels. I'm not wild about that look.
The front sit perfectly. So I'm currently trying the factory flares rear, wide flares front. I'm not sure I'm sold on it though.
I've always liked the factory flares...
That thing is farking beautiful!!!!! I love that green.
And I love my raptor lined interior; only way to go. I drive mine rain or shine and the peace of mind is great. Just today I got dumped on watching my son's football practice. I just enjoyed the cool change.
I'm pretty partial to vent windows in addition to the side and white square.
In Santa Fe with a white roof (aka New Mexico Air Conditioning) and vent windows i never turned my air con on.
Vents can also be easily installed if you can find them BUT if your rig is not a factory vent window rig...
