    Discount for 4-Cylinder Engine

It’s at least 2-3K if not more and depends on how high end of a survivor the Jeep is. For example there is a blue SR on eBay right now for 19k with a 4cyl. That same Jeep with a 6cyl would be already sold and likely could bring low 20’s. If you found a sub 10k mile SL all original it would...

U-joint removal - Hammer and Vise method (no sockets involved)

I have some to do soon I will give a try. I did look today and the dana 30 front have a lip on them that will make smacking it with a big hammer a little tricky.

U-joint removal - Hammer and Vise method (no sockets involved)

Good stuff but most ujoints out of the north east or that have sat for many years are not coming out like this. Even a unoint tool will struggle on those.

New Holly Sniper for CJ 258 - really nice price point

Agree and ECM built into the housing. This system is built for the 4.2L with some serious thought to it.

Help me settle on an engine

I have done all these swaps and there is really no reason to do any of the 6cyl or SBC engines unless that is what you “want”. The difference in cost of the LS would be minimal in relation to the cost of a total Jeep build. The LS will make you love driving your scrambler, easy to work on...

Help me get parts from Chicago to Indiana for Scrambler in Indy area

Just to rebuild a stock scrambler which would be the easiest way to do it would be so much more than $4k. I am not sure if you want it all painted too but just painting everything would be more than $4k. With the parts you have there unless you find someone that wants to give you tens of...

Going to look at 2006 LJ Rubicon - any specific questions to ask?

That is a low price even though it has higher mileage. I would be very suspect and look it over hard.

    Extended Scrambler LS3 Build

Cool build. Will it use a scrambler body? If those are SBC mounts they def will not work with a Gen III newer engine. Much different placement.

    Tips on removing factory decals?

3M eraser wheel. Easiest way to so it. You will have thicker paint under the old decals. If not properly sanded down you will see the remnants do the old decals under the new paint.

    My Blue Jeep

Was this a warrantied engine? That is not the first time I have heard the glass beads sand blasting material BS line from a engine rebuilder company.

engine wiring harness for a LS conversion in a 1984 CJ8.

I used Tech Rods in Kentucky. It's a completely new harness but you need to know what all you want don't to it. They don't do ECM's.

    Dads Scrambler

There is not nearly enough jeep parts in your garage. Where do you hide it all? Build looks great and very detailed.

5/16 from the sender and 1/4 return.

Sad day for a long time Jeep owner.

Not that I support Toyota but it's a publicly held company. The profits go all over the world to their share holders just like any other publicly held company.

    OE 85 Scrambler Renegade Stripes

It is but you got to be careful. The marketing material often was not 100% correct. Or I should say was not 100% the same as what would hit the production line. For example I have never seen black decal over the Jeep stamp with that graphics package. It's always grey. Anyways I am nit...

    OE 85 Scrambler Renegade Stripes

I would also like to know. The Forestry jeep I had was a special paint code for a green color. Like CC or something like that.

    Laredo grab bars

You are going to have to get the different tints in the different colors then make your own adds and spray them out on cards yourself. A paint shop will never spend enough time to match the paints exact. When I matched Olympic white on a 12k mile CJ recently it took tinting 10 times and...

Anyone running Bds 2.5" lift ?

For street driving the 2.5 will be fine but I would guess that your 4in springs need broken in. Also adding a winch and a heavy rear bumper would help. I think you just need to take it on a long drive or around a field to get them to flex and settle down. 4.5in of lift is not supposed to be...
