$25 7" H4 Headlight Upgrade Kit

Well, boys and girls, I ordered mine through Toyota Parts Express. Ordered on Tuesday, shipped on Wednesday, and confirmation of delivery to my house this coming Tuesday. Just in case you don't want to make a trip to the dealership.

I ordered a set off of ebay. $43 shipped. My closest dealership had them for about $27, but it's over an hour away and I don't know when I'll be over there again.

$31.05 🇨🇦
Ordering 2 kits.
Toyota parts told me it's listed for 81-87 Landcruiser.

Good tip. Ordered 2 from Express also. Thanks.

Glad it worked out, Kim. Obviously, shipping charges will be different, but my invoice was $31 for the set. Couldn't be happier.

Picked up 2 sets. Also got some hella 80/100w bulbs. Really excited to try these out. Wasn't ready to drop $200+ on retrobrights.

Would be interesting to see a comparison of the included lamps and the Hella's
Ask...and ye shall receive!

All photos taken with my phone out the driver's window (wait I don't have a window 😅). Different nights but all within the same time frame give or take 10 min. Not exactly scientific with whatever the phone is doing in the background software and different sky conditions but overall a good comparison.

The field shot is my wonderful understanding wife Jess and oldest Eli at 135ft into the field for reference. The garage is about 60ft. The new housings cast an interesting linear beam on the garage shots. Probably don't notice on anything other than a wall.

I think I need to angle them down just bit but otherwise pretty happy. Much better than stock. I'm curious what some Daylighter fogs or spots would do to supplement.

So which is the bulb in the kit from Toyota? Pretty sure it’s an H4, but I don’t know the wattage?

Doesn't look tremendously different from the stock H4 that comes with the lights and the Hella bulbs, honestly. Much more of a difference going from SB to the H4.

I already had the Hella bulbs on hand from some old Eagle Eye H4 bulbs I put on one of my CJ's about 20 years ago. I have picked up two sets of the Yota lights to put on the other two CJ's now.

Thanks for all the effort.
Definitely a huge upgrade from the stock SB's.

I wonder how much difference the relays make for the stock SB's (no not asking you to test), maybe I'll try to remember to compare when I get around to doing mine. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Is there a good LED option that does high and low beam for Toyota lenses?
