As a Salvation Army Officer, Christmas is always a work intensive tiring time of the year. Filled with both joy and sometimes heart ache. 2014 was our last as active officers.
December 28th was my 66th birthday. In the Salvation Army, 66 is the year for mandatory retirement.
As of midnight tonight, not only do I welcome in the New Year. I also join the ranks of the retired. I still find it hard to believe.
We have settled outside Zillah, Wa. on a 2 acre parcel with a rather large house for two people. We now have two dogs, two cats, a llama and a donkey. Lot of mouths to feed.
Oh hea, the shop. Just under 1,500 sq. ft. Needs sheetrock taped and lights, compressor etc. wired in.
Now I will have time to work on the 8 I bought 3 years ago. Other than removing the full top, which i traded, it has not been touched. Time for that to change.
