Ever since we got rid of the Cherokee and purchased a Silverado, my wife she hasn't really been happy.. You know the saying happy wife happy life? It's true. So last weekend we listed the Silverado on Craigslist and it sold within an hour. I was shocked but happy as we got enough to pay off our loan and a little extra. Now for the fun part.
Initially gas mileage was the most important factor. We did have to find something that was off-road capable, too. That didn't leave a whole lot of choices. Trying to get back to a Jeep we checked out the Liberty, and even looked at a Compass. Yuck. We went on to look at Honda Pilot, Ford Escape, and other vehicles that we couldn't get interested in. Finally we settled on a Subaru Outback. That is, until we drove one. Talk about a sardine can!
Then I found "the one ". A 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited, 5.7 Hemi with all the options except for rear dvd. (Factory Navigation, though) Got it for 2K under book. It's a capable rocket ship with luxury galore! Well taken care of, it was love at first sight. And, it averaged 19MPG returning from Portland. Haven't tried it off road yet, but it does have the Quadra Drive II with electric lockers at both ends. Loving it! Here's some pics!

Still a great sounding deal on a very sweet Jeep. That's one of my top "real" DD Jeep candidates right there.
