Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Never heard of that Brewery. Cool.

Not sure about the description and comparison to French toast though.

Trying this one. Says it is a dessert beer. And I would agree. Maybe with a bowl of ice cream. A lot of vanilla flavor. And 10% too.

^ I'll second the Bavarian Dunkel; had a few last weekend. I did however discover that I enjoyed it far more the closer it got to room temperature; the flavors really smoothed out and the "darkness" calmed down a little.

Agreed. I let it warm up a bit and it was better.

Here is what I am having now.

I've been into homebrewing lately, so no cool bottle labels to show off. Just finished bottling a Red Ale, fixing to cook an American Wheat this weekend, and maybe stock up on some honey for a small batch of mead. I have been trying to grab a hodgepodge sixer now and then so I get an idea of what I want to brew next, but I've been slacking lately...

Local Brewery White Flame, Polar Express double IPA brewed with local honey. So good and not too sweet. The honey covers the hops nicely. 10% ABV

What did you think of the world wide stout Dain?

I liked the flavor. Complex. Heavy. But finished it quicker than I expected. Thought it would be like the sam adams centennial which was like a port wine to me. But I liked this beer. Had a bad headache then next morning though. So in that way it was like a wine.

I picked up a couple local releases this week, will have to decide which one to try for my beer night tomorrow. They also have a new local brewery beer on tap this weekend at a bar that will fill growlers. Tempting...

Looks like someone has an eye on your beer!

Yeah, he was just mad at me for not giving him any of what I have. Regardless of what it is. The boy is a trash compactor and will eat anything.

Local Pike 51 Brewery - Sensual Bean Imperial Milk Stout barreled in Wild Turkey barrels. Super delicious!
