Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Today I had three craft beers. Eliot Ness Amber Lager, Alewerks Draketail IPA and a stout called Wake Up Dead by Left Hand Brewing Company. That stout was the best of the three. Of course I am partial to dark beers. And I earned some badges for my efforts in Untappd.

Lil Sumptin Sumptin by Lagunitas. Had a little hop start with a nice fruity finish and was an exceptional beer. Went to a wine and craft beer shop that is only a few blocks from the house with well over 100 different beers. All beers are sold by the bottle and here is the assortment of what I picked up this week. Very nice people with a free beer tasting every Thursday evening of 5 of the beers that they recieved that week. They email the list that week.

Worked in Savannah, GA last week and visited the Moon River Brewing Company. Here are some pictures of the sampler. All were really good but the Wild Wacky Wit, Apparition Ale and The Bomb were my favorites. The glasses on the sampler tray from right to left match the menu from top to bottom.

Had lunch at 10 Barrel this weekend- best burger in Bend IMHO. http://www.10barrel.com/pub.html

They had a special limited run on Nitro- Throw Back Oatmeal Stout...smooth, rich, chocolatey....yum! Nothing like having a couple of cold ones and a burger watching the rain come down outside.

The atmosphere, service, food, and of course beer are always awesome. One of my all time favorites.

Tonights selection is from a south west MI brewery called Greenbush. This particular is called Brother Benjamin. It is an Imperial IPA brewed with clover honey and beet sugar. It is very dark in color, bronze almost, and cloudy. Strong IPA flavor, lasts on the tongue. 10.1% ABV. Great brew.

Did a little road trip this weekend for a car show. (In the Cherokee, sorry, guys). Had dinner at Standing Stone Brewing in Ashland, OR. Interesting Apple/Honey/Spinach/Parmesan pizza- actually tasted really good. The beer was their Noble Stout, a delicious creamy stout with Noble coffee added.

Just enjoyed a Cottrell Old Yankee Ale in Mystic CT. Quite yummy.

Mystic is a cool place... doing anything good? We used to go up there for school field trips all the time... good RV and camping up that way too.

Just a stop over. Heading to Martha's Vineyard tosay for the rest of the week. Mystic is a cool little town.

Sister-in-law just got me this Boulevard Smokestack Series "Sixth Glass" Quadrupel Ale. Not bad, a little sweet for my taste but I still enjoyed it!

I know :D. What sucks is that I posted this picture in their FB page and they DELETED it! :banghead:

I'm trying not to hold it against them because its one of my favorite everyday beers, had one last night even, but I'm having trouble.
