Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Went to a great beer fest tonight and tried some great Missouri micro brews. My wife works for the company that hosted it and she brought home some of the leftover beer! This was one of my favorites; Float Trip Ale by Piney River Brewing.

From the dollar rack is a Winter Ale from Blue Point Brewery in Long Island. It's....ok, for a dollar. Also carved a pumpkin tonight so we roasted pumpkin seeds as well.

the problem with seasonal beers is... they are only seasonal. Glad it's back.

Folks, fall/winter are most favorite times for beer releases. Last night I was able to pick up a hard to find local brew called Shipwreck Porter from Arcadia Ales. Bourbon barrel aged, 12% ABV and packs quite a punch. Black in color with a toasted brown head. Strong notes of bourbon as expected.

No brewery, but the bar car on the train carries Bristol Brewery beers on tap.. I took my son (4) down to ride it on a whim one day and was pleasantly surprised with the trip...

Had a couple of Pumpkin beers at the growler station last night after Trick-or-Treating with the kids. Awesome pizza too...Hop n Bean in Sisters. Normally pumpkin isn't a favorite, but these had enough hops to make them good.
 
Sweet Water 420 - Extra Pale Ale. Sweet Water has a very nice brewery and tasting area. Located just a few miles north of downtown Atlanta.
