Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

Then, for an early evening snack in Cannon Beach, we stopped by Bill's for some beer and clam strips. 2x4 stout was my choice, another good call. Stay tuned for my lunch/dinner trip reports tomorrow!

You are killing me Randy. Looks like I need to make a trip out there.

Lunch at Seaside Brewing- Lock Up IPA. The location used to be the old Police Station and jail. The old drunk tank in the background now holds the kegs!

Afternoon snack, at the local hardware store/public house. Cannon Beach Hardware. Or as they call it-"Screw and Brew".

Great Divide Titan IPA

I feel like I'm monopolizing this thread, but I'm having s great time on vacation. Next stop was the Warren House Pub, where I had a Cherry Porter and Carol had a Blackberry Beauty ale. Now it's time to find some dinner...

Dooger's Seafood Grille... Fort George Vortex IPA and local, fresh grilled halibut. Doesn't get much better. I'm out for tonight!

Lunch at Pelican Brewery in Pacific City. Tried a "strange brew" that was simply amazing! I'll post a pic of the description, the name is "Poire", French for "pear". Amazing beer in an amazing setting.

Got some Founders at Wegman's this weekend. Saw the Breakfast Stout, but opted for the Dirty Bastard. Pretty good. First time seeing Founders here.

They had this on tap too. Difficult choice, I was only down for one pint.

Nice afternoon Pale. Little Creatures. Fremantle brewery where I have some Reverse Osmosis gear and other water treatment stuff. Thus pale is modeled on your Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Bound to be good right? SNPA is a favourite of mineImageUploadedByTapatalk1416722488.278487.jpg

Curious gazzo, can you get a good selection of us beers over there ? For instance can you drink SNPA over there ? Also as far as Australian brewed beers is there an IPA following ? Do ya all grow hops? Cheers mate !

G'day JJ. Short answer, NO. Not easily anyway. We have a new boozarium opened up near us so I thought I'd check it out. All the English beers, European beers but tucked down in the corner were 3 or 4 Torpedos and that's it. Disappointing. There is a place to buy suds on the way home from the airport which has a lot of US stuff, and good too, but bloody expensive. No change out of 60-70 bucks per case mostly. SNPA for example is 70 dollars.
Folks like me who enjoy good pales are on the increase but the prices are holding us back. I think there are hops grown locally but the good beers like that Little Creatures PA use hops from over your way. Any time I think we have squat compared to you guys I have to remind myself we have less than a tenth of your population. So it's likely we'll have less than a tenth as many good beers, Jeep-gettin places and ladies.
