Yeah I was just a young country boy, and had just got to the big city for the first time a few months earlier and this was the first MG. That show is actually just a small piece of the whole experience.

Well, hopefully this puts this thread back on track. Today's Craigslist score- a set of factory steps, a receiver hitch, and a grille suitable for a wall hanger. All for $50.00!!!
Almost forgot- a customer stopped by my work today. He admitted he wasn't a Ford guy, but a Chevy guy. I admitted to being a Jeep with Chev engines guy. So he asks if I know anyone who likes "those wagon things". I asked "Wagoneers?" He replied yeah, he has 4. No engines, partsters at best, but he sold 8 others last year and has these 4 left. Evidently he has about 100 various vehicles at his place...right down the road from my house!!! Sounded like he wants them gone, cheap. I'm going to take a look on Thursday. I'm in so much trouble....

I'll let you know what's there. I'm looking for a hood, bumper, and a bench seat that folds...and possibly a complete Waggy for a "down the road" project. Heck, if the price is right I might pick up a couple!

The homelite looks to have the worlda shortest bar on it. I am sure it is perspective, butvlooks like an 8" bar. I am hoping to pick up a old but looks darn near new in the pictures Pioneer 66cc saw tomorrow. Picked up a echo cs302 for $2. Put gas in it a proceeded to scare kids and adults and a haunted house with it for the next 6 years. Chainsaw qith old bar, car battery, chain link fence, extension cord and jumper cables make for cool effects at night

Craigslist selling etiquette:
Make sure photos don't show any major damage and then act surprised when buyer notices it.
Do not mention if any parts are missing.
Tell buyers that they can come by to look at what you're selling at a specific time and place, then schedule something else to do that day.
When buyer shows up, mention that someone offered you more money, so the price went up.
Craigslist buying etiquette:
Send crazy lowball offers - like $1k for a car listed at $15k.
Do not read the description - ever. Ask weird obvious questions. Example: if the listing is for a Chevy Suburban, ask if it is a convertible and can a dog fit in the back seat. Ask millions of questions, even if you have no interest in buying.
Set up firm meetings at specific times and places. Preferably before 8am. Do not show up - ever.
Do not bring cash. If you do bring cash, make sure its at least $100 short . . when the buyer counts the money and says you're short say something like "you sure? ah man, that's all I have . . we gotta deal?" and stare dead-eyed at the seller.
If the ad says "cash only", see if they'll take weed instead . . or broken car parts. Bring this up during the handshake, when you mention that you didn't bring any cash.

You forgot the deals made, took off work for the 3 hour drive only to get the "I just sold it" when you are 30minutes from their driveway. The look on their face when you still show up is hilarious (if they still answer the door). This happens frequently in Utah.
