Dads Scrambler

Would that cause the gas gauge to be way off too? When it hits empty it still has a half tank. Pretty consistent about it too. I'll check the grounds. Thanks!

The last bit of the pick up inside the fuel tank is plastic, if this breaks off you will still have fuel but pump is not able to draw it

Back on track.

Not stellar by any means, but it will get the job done!

Nice exhaust system there. Since I'm old I liked the old school dual exhaust.

Yeah, dad wanted duels but I was tight with the atlas and the 20 gallon fuel tank.

Been a while. Seats and radiator came in for Christmas need to get some pics of those.
Today was just getting some sheet metal on. Lining up door is a pain! Margins all look good but I still need to put the top on and check.
Also this is not final paint, after everything is together it will get wet sanded and sprayed again.

Great job so far. You may want to consider some exhaust wrap for the pipe that routes in front of the oil pan. Or remove the exhaust from the heads, including the manifolds, to the first break and have it ceramic coated. This will help contain the heat in the pipes and negate the need to wrap the pipes near the oil pan.

That's a different way of going about paint but interesting. Will the final coat be a clear coat since the color is already done?

So I talked with my exhaust guy about wrapping the exhaust when he was putting it together. He wasn't too concerned about it, so we will see:shrug: I can always go back and wrap it, no big deal.
As for the paint, we needed to get something on it and It was easy to do when we had it on the rotisserie. It has a few runs in it that still need to be sanded down. The plan is to get it all together fix anything that gets scratch during assembly, sand out any other imperfections (runs) and then paint the whole thing as one piece. That way all the panels are out of the same mix of paint.

The paddles should clear with no issues. :bacon:
