update
Alright, I finally got some work done, but was pulled away from meeting my weekend goals by a family emergency (everyone is ok). I pulled the body off of the wrecked frame and gave everything a good looking over. There are dimples and waves in the frame all the way back to where the orignal muffler hanger used to be before the rear tire. I then spent the next couple hours removing all of the components off of the frame except for the motor, tranny, & t-case. It was kind of nice working with clean parts. I then marked the parts of the frame (mounts) I needed to keep and came up with a game plan on things to do differently when modifying the new frame. Looking at the wrecked frame also gave me good ideas as to where to add beef. I then loaded the wrecked rolling chassis and the new frame on to the trailer and was about to roll down to the shop to get some work done when the family emergency occured. So, all in all I made good progress. Unfortunately, I will not be able to touch the frame until after Thanksgiving. There will be other stuff to do in the mean time. Replace grille, steering column, brake situation, add more to the cage, rebuild the dash, etc.
