Anyone using a good reliable hand held fuel pump.
I carry a coupe of Jerry cans (sometimes one) inside the tire carrier .
I would like to be able to transfer fuel from the can to the fuel cell on the jeep - I had one but it was useless.
Anyone using a good one / recommended one? - I would like one with a built in fuel filter.
Cheers.

I use the cheap Harbor Freight fuel transfer pumps. At $6.99 on sale, I keep spares around. Just takes 2 D cell batteries. They actually work.

x3 on the super siphon hose. Dead simple and nothing to break and no batteries to worry about. If it's long enough you don't even have to remove the gas cans from the carrier. I'm sure you could hook up an inline fuel filter to it but it would probably slow the flow down quite a bit.

Although I really don't like carrying gas cans and my preference is to upgrade to a larger tank. Aerotanks makes a 30 gallon tank which utilizes the empty space behind the rear crossmember.

This. The only complaint with it is he diameter of the hose, you have to have room for it to fit in with the ball fitting thing at the bottom.
I use Roto-pax gas cans that mount to my spare tire. I don’t even have to remove them when I siphon the gas into my tank. The Royo-pax mount on the spare tire itself, which sets higher than the fuel tank fill. It works really well, at least in this scenario.

My first experience with one of them was with Dan Grec in Lesotho transferring out of his AEV tire carrier tank, same deal as you and worked beautifully.
