Well, I guess denial is no longer an option... I have to accept that I have a problem.
Last week, I picked up a '53 Willys project. My dad drove one of these on a ranch when he was growing up (and he even had one for a short time when I was a kid).
He's got Alzheimer's now, and memories come and go, but his ranch memories are always at the front of his mind. He's been talking about that old Willys pickup for quite a while now, so I decided to find a project that is close enough to running that we can have fun with it, but not enough that he can get in it and drive it away.
Boy, is he excited! I have a feeling some of my other projects just got sidelined for the summer.

Unfortunately, the Willys was part of a package deal. To get the '53 pickup, I also had to take a '97 Wrangler.
I've never really been interested in this generation of Jeep, but now that I'm poking around at it, I think it might be kind of fun!
I was planning to flip this little beastie, but now I'm thinking about cleaning it up for my grandkids to drive to school. There are a few mechanical issues to sort out, but I think a 4-cyl, 5-spd would be a good way for them to learn to drive.

These are in addition to two Scramblers and a Cherokee Chief.
What I'm really looking for is a '67 Ford highboy, but I keep getting waylayed by these Jeeps!

Cheers!
