Thanks

The camper is set up and ready, but we've only been able to spend one night up there.

This summer is looking slim for us at the seasonal, we've got a trip to see my brother in July, and my daughter has a horse in 4H

"The down side to the new belts is I can't lay the seats down flat to haul big stuff, or remove them for open area. There will always be bars across the rear. "

You might try these from TMR with the bars, I built my CJ 6 Roll cage with these so it can be taken out if need. The make them is various sizes.

That is a good idea, I may have to add those in there next winter

In between soccer, bike registration event, and girl scout bridging yesterday I welded in the gussets on the front seat harness bars. And installed a new radio.

The new bars aren't painted, but at least they are usable until I have time to pull the front cage and repaint. :D

The new JVC with bluetooth so I can hear my phone ring when the top is off...............

And a 600 watt amp to make sure it is a load ring.............. :bacon:

The power steering brackets, motor mount adapter plates, and vacuum pump delete parts showed up for the new motor. :smokin:

And Friday I built a skid plate for the new fuel tank that will be going in for the new motor.

Try to bring this back up to date a little bit

Power steering

Cross member

And switch panel

Should be able to have it ready for opening day, if it goes good I might be able to drive it before salt. Not done, but a test drive.

Made a little progress.

Engine cross member is tacked in, and coilovers unbolted to check full stuff clearance.

ended up moving the transfercase forward about a inch, so most likely driveshaft work will come.

The steering column is bolted in, the shifter clears the gauge panel ( I was worried about that)

The steering shaft is going to be the same and clears everything.

Started laying out wire looms. ECM and fuse panel will fit where I planned on the inner fender.

All in all its going good

Had another good day working on the Jeep. :bacon:

Steering column is complete other than trim.

Steering shaft is done.

t-caser is in with 2 bolts.

Rear driveshaft is in.

front driveshaft is in, but not bolted at the t-case.

The pass through is installed in the firewall, ready for the harness.

Ecm is mounted.

Engine oil cooler mounted.

Top link bracket cut off and ready to wedge exhaust in (it's going to be TIGHT)

I had some wiring between the intake cover and the firewall that was rubbing. I've got a plan to get that some clearance. I also found a connector for everything under the intake that was wedged agaist the seam in the glass body. I got it unplugged and out of the way, now I just need to die grind the flange of the body seam. That should be fun above my head, between the Motor, trans, and body.

Here's a couple pics, just because you guys love pics.

Personally I love the look of that steering column/wheel in the scrambler. When you replace the airbag, or recover it, you could get a GMC cover and change the "G" to an "A".

The steering wheel is super comfortable too. As far as the airbag, I'm leaning towards cutting the Shredded part out. Then milling a billet center with "JEEP" or "SCRAMBLER". Or possibly a mirral
