Pretty sure it’s a 1961.Nice find.
1. Looks like the Wagon is somewhere between a 1961 (when Willys added the single pane rear window) and March 1962 (the last of the 226 Hurricane with the three "organ pull" heater/fan controls.
2. To narrow down the year, the VIN plate should be on the driver's side step. Also the VIN is stamped on the top of the frame near the front passenger-side wheel, just rearward of the front axle.
It may end up getting a swap, but first we’re trying to see if the original motor is viable. We haven’t managed to get it to fire yet, but it does turn over.Very nice find. We've fantasized about getting one of those. I'd put a 4.0L/aw4 in it and drive the wheels off of it. Always thought that would be a perfect setup for a sweet DD.
