Perfect advertising... I mean I love bacon, but not diet soda... and then you click it and it goes to Facebook... brilliant...annoying, but brilliant!

This weekend I had bacon pancakes for breakfast. I don't know where I saw the idea, but it's pretty awesome. Cook the bacon, then either lay it in strips and pour pancake mix on top or crumble it up and put it right in the pancake mix.

That is genius. I happen to freaking LOVE that drink, so I may be biased, but they're doing a great job marketing that stuff. I always wondered why a soda brand didn't rename "diet" soda in a different can and go after men.

Y wife and some neighbors were talking about Dr Pepper 10 this weekend and how their ads were so Stupid. They were saying how dumb it was to alienate the women from drinking it.
I guess the ads are working (keeping them from drinking it).
I love Dr Pepper. But have to drink the caffeine free version now so I have not tried the 10. Is it like Diet Dr P?

Yeah, but would the group targeted in these ads buy it if they marketed it so as not to exclude women? That's the question you have to ask.
Metrics, metrics, metrics. It's how marketing is done now and I think this is a great example. As this is what I do for a living, forgive the explanation
They obviously looked at the demographics for their Dr. Pepper line (and quite possibly more of their brands than that) and I'm guessing that they saw a gaping hole in their male segment for diet drinks. So, with the true Diet Dr. Pepper probably doing great in the female demographic already, they were willing to go this way and take whatever females ended up coming along for the ride. They figured typical diet drink advertising for this wouldn't make any change and would just cannibalize sales of the normal Diet Dr. Pepper, which would be spending money for no/little return.
No one at companies of any size do any type of marketing today without reams of data to back up the direction. While it's obvious they're excluding women in the marketing of this stuff, you'd better believe there's a very good reason and they're doing a great job of it.
As for how it tastes, I used to be a huge Dr. Pepper fan, but gave up sugared drinks, so only diet stuff for me. I thought Diet Dr. Pepper was better than most diet versions of other drinks, so I got it sometimes. Once Coke Zero came out (which tastes NOTHING like Diet Coke, and is IMHO a better taste than normal Coke) I was hooked. In the same way, Dr. Pepper Ten is a MUCH better version of Diet Dr. Pepper and I now like it better than I do regular Dr. Pepper.

Went to the House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch yesterday and the bacon on their spread was probably the best Ive ever had. Smoked and thick cut. Not too crispy with some good fat content. I think my Dad had twenty pieces he said. Highlight of the buffett.

Im a big Coke Zero fan but have you tried the AW Root Beer 10, Im hooked...tastes like its fresh from the tap from the restaurant, its even better out of of bottle, smoother I think.

Now bacon on topic...
Bacon and fried cheese taco shells. Why they didn't make one inside the other is beyond me, seems like a no-brainer.

Definitely should have been put together. And sounds much better than the Doritos Locos shells. I can't even imagine what the cool ranch ones taste like.
As for the bacon and chees taco shells, I think that those will be on my dinner plate sometime soon. They don't look too tough to make. Just need a form to make the shape.
