The mock up is pretty much done other than the parts that I took up to the house to work on & I'm starting to tear it back down for body work & paint. I'll finish engine assembly, drop the drivetrain in & finish plumbing everything while the body is away. 41287727_10214851289614457_2337518470331105280_n.jpg 41323191_10214851289254448_6298545470587273216_n.jpg 41292270_10214851289934465_776021180736864256_n.jpg 41466960_10214851290574481_6789267921064427520_n.jpg 41449355_10214858491114490_3651517380435116032_n.jpg 41479488_10214858490794482_5171082470526812160_n.jpg

Last bit of mock up & tearing it back down. Holes for the passenger side windshield hinge were out of whack. Should have the manifolds back from ceramic coating next week so I can finish assembling the 360. 41851337_10214908513805026_3714628076559138816_n.jpg 41863954_10214908514165035_4071908706353152000_n.jpg 42059101_10214908514445042_7118184380677226496_n.jpg 41990690_10214908514845052_3451800430508507136_n.jpg 41866284_10214908515165060_7557981098983030784_n.jpg

Final dash mock up with the color (Ford Nitrous Blue) before it goes out for the real paint job. Switching gears back to final engine assembly...manifolds should be back from the ceramic coater shortly. 42959626_10215006589736863_7598139631611150336_o.jpg 42924791_10215006590696887_3020773992471461888_o.jpg 43001584_10215006591376904_6966359292513353728_o.jpg 42904358_10215006592176924_2033973598011523072_o.jpg

Note that the steering column collar didn't fit any of my three auto tilt columns...the shroud on them is the same size as the manual non-tilt column that was originally in the Scrambler. I had one of the machining students pop it in the CNC and enlarge the hole from 3" to 3.5"...just needs a minor tweak on the top plate which I'll have done at final fit up.

Thanks for the tip! I do have a tilt column.

Picked up the last few powder coated parts & the ceramic coated manifolds from the powder coater, so I'll be completing the engine assembly soon. Traded in the older Grand Cherokee that I was driving to knock a few bucks off of my wife's new 2019 Ocean Blue Metallic JLU Sahara that she ordered back at the end of September (she's already got a stack of aftermarket parts for me to install). Ordered up the new Rocky Road Outfitters rock sliders & BDS springs for the CJ-7 so I can get started on it while the Scrambler is in a holding pattern for body work & paint. Also got some news that I'm not allowed to fully disclose that will be taking us back to St. Croix at the end of January...let's just say that it involves TV cameras and life in the Caribbean ;) 47400350_10215437316664767_789408804251893760_n.jpg

Two guest suites and an extra Jeep, all you need is airfare (y) Planning to move down full time in July...been doing a LOT of downsizing & house sale prep the past couple of months. The producers are aware of my 'affliction' so we'll probably roll in some Jeep stuff with the local clubs. There's one other Scrambler on the island that I'm aware of, might be one or two others.

Trans linkage, sway bar, steering brace, pitman arm, tie rod, intake manifold (this is what the powder chrome looks like without the clear coat that dulls it) & ceramic coated exhaust manifolds. 48379012_10215546144465394_2917565971298254848_o.jpg 48415540_10215561864778392_3682757666876162048_n.jpg 48412785_10215561865018398_2930004432810672128_n.jpg

I'm not really seeing anyone locally doing ceramic coating of exhaust manifolds. Is it pretty expensive ? I've read it helps with heat under the hood.
