Where did you get the dash plate for the steering wheel and instrument area? Nice touch!Final dash mock up with the color (Ford Nitrous Blue) before it goes out for the real paint job. Switching gears back to final engine assembly...manifolds should be back from the ceramic coater shortly. View attachment 66846View attachment 66847View attachment 66848View attachment 66849
Thanks for the tip! I do have a tilt column.Note that the steering column collar didn't fit any of my three auto tilt columns...the shroud on them is the same size as the manual non-tilt column that was originally in the Scrambler. I had one of the machining students pop it in the CNC and enlarge the hole from 3" to 3.5"...just needs a minor tweak on the top plate which I'll have done at final fit up.
Fixed it for you...
Just tell us when and where to visit.
There's one other Scrambler on the island that I'm aware of, might be one or two others.
Trans linkage, sway bar, steering brace, pitman arm, tie rod, intake manifold (this is what the powder chrome looks like without the clear coat that dulls it) & ceramic coated exhaust manifolds.View attachment 68532
I'm not really seeing anyone locally doing ceramic coating of exhaust manifolds. Is it pretty expensive ? I've read it helps with heat under the hood.
No option to convert the Manual to a Hydro clutch? After doing this with my AX-15; I'd never go back...
I spent close to $400 to get a set of V8 manifolds done. Not sure I would do it again.I'm not really seeing anyone locally doing ceramic coating of exhaust manifolds. Is it pretty expensive ? I've read it helps with heat under the hood.
