Project Panel Replacement

I try to talk folks into doing poured concrete decks. Just did one a few months ago at my own place. Had to bring in probably 10 tons of fill to bring up the furtherest part about 1.5' and did it over several months to reduce the chance of settling later. Then dug footings to virgin soil. Took half a concrete truck to pour 17x12' deck but it will never rot. Made a parking spot with the other half since you always order a full truck.
 
And then this... 4 cyl, T176, all original, very rusty... not sure what the plan is yet. It runs/drives/stops, but sooooo rusty underneath.

But did have this possible AA stamp on the rear axle for a tru track 3.54 wide track setup on the 1983... I guess with the 4 cyl that is a possibility.

Looked at that one. Just as rough as the one I brought home. The quarter panels, which drove me to go and look, are survivors. Few other things were of value as well.
 
Just goes to show, pictures can be very deceiving. Above the water line shots, looks good. Below the water line, not so much.
 
That one would need a new thread called "project tub replacement" makes any rusty Jeep i have ever had look rock solid
 
In the one picture you can sir the door through the holes in the frame! Cool looking 8 but too far gone..........Good work up that way for sure.
 
Not much new on the frame front... I ended up ordering some rails and will probably build my own at this point.
Ordering from the source is the way to go apparently, ordering through a 3rd party... it doesn't work out sometimes, especially if the price is less through the 3rd party.

Anywho... was taking apart the 4 banger last night and the picture was too good to pass up.

@Dave The Sparky unfortunately this is far from "rock solid"... the rear is paper thin and has a street sign under the paper to keep it upright.
The front someone patched and it somewhat usable, but the other half of the street sign and a lot of fiberglass "help" is in there.

No gas tank.
Gas tank skid half there barely hanging on.
Missing other cross member...

Thank you... I have been waiting (and saving) for a very long time to set something up that I have wanted to do.
It has taken the better part of 2 years to get this up and running with a couple hours available at night.

I hope soon to be back in full swing.
