Picked up a couple crates today. This was being used as a flower planter and was painted black with house paint years ago. 2.5 hours later....
Looks great. How did you know what was underneath the paint, or were you just going for the bare wood look?

Anyone good at ID on air lockers? This came in a 44 that came with a project that the guy three guys ago upgraded to 60s so I have no info passed on to me.

I didn't see anything through the paint initially. The crate was outside on it's side in the sun. I could just make out the words detroit - grand rapids on the bottom. Nothing really to lose, so I scraped it with my fingernail and the paint came off. I had to be careful with the red lettering.

Do they make the passenger mirror actually usable? Do they not shake as much? They do look really good.

It does make it easier to see out of and usable... shaking... well that is probably going to be less in a 258 vs. a thumping 360 with a loud exhaust
