Look at this email I just got from JeepForum... this is what's wrong with the huge majority of online Jeep forums:

JeepForum is owned by a massive online advertising company (massive in that they own a ton of automotive specialty forums, not necessarily a huge corporation) and they're trying to sell ads to companies across all of the forums they own to make money. That's their right, but it means they cram as much advertising down your throat as they can if you're a free member can to force you to upgrade and lots of it is genericized junk that has nothing to do with Jeeps.

That very company has tried, repeatedly, to by CJ-8.com.

We like providing a quality site and great community that's unique in the Jeep online space and asking our members to help support keeping the lights on because they want to. This is and always has been a labor of love, not a money-maker. Think about what you've found of value on here, think about the projects you've been able to complete, then think about the fact that it's not free to run this place. There's hosting and software upgrades that never end.

For less than one tank of fuel per year (still!) you can help this place stay alive and get some cool benefits in the process.

Worth more than every penny to me. I have saved many times over the cost in the build of my jeep.

Besides, the Random Photos thread is worth it alone (just poking fun)!!!
 
The site is so good it's worth the lifetime once per year. Fully agree with the rant. I can't even load JF on an I phone without wanting to then my phone against a wall. Not the first time I have said that either...

Now.. The random posts thread. I'll say that again too. It used to be just a random PHOTOS thread and then the title was changed to a random post thread. Just sayin. It's come a long way and has at a point in time got out of hand but .. Remember it was a MODERAYYYTOR who changed the title of this thread like 50 pages ago. :evil: :bacon: :cheers: :istillloveyouE&J:
 
Nothing good in life is forever free. I'm a lifetime member and I will still make a donation from time to time. How can one put a price tag on this kind of knowledge.
 
Agreed! This place is the best...but we all know that.

That said, even though many of us are lifetime members, if this place is in need please let us know so that we can step up.
 
CJ-8.com I visit most every day. Facebook, once or twice a month maybe. Good people here helping people and sharing info. And no ads coming at you. Very worth the modest price. Thanks.
 
This is the go to place for info , fun and great people that are all in it to preserve the last of the 8 breed and beyond. I couldn't have 99 percent the conversations we have here on the outside as people would think I was insane. But here it would be the next topic to talk about for days.. This is my famiglia. Life wouldn't be the same without it.

Like CJ's, I'm addicted to this site. I get my fix multiples times a day here for only one low lifetime membership fee. Cheapest addiction I've had yet and the lifetime membership was optional.
 
As I flip between crap and more crap (the Browns Ravens game) I see that .. ^^

Ha.ha wish i could fill my truck up for the cost of a subscription!, might get a 1/4 of a tank if i am lucky!!!.

This site was, by far, the most beneficial to my build :bow:


And it is the cheapest "part" of the whole project :headbang:



And all of the great people, pictures, events are just a HUGE bonus :bacon:
