my hard top & doors are staying off

I hear that brother. I really like the idea of bringing the postal with the top on it so everyone can see it in all it's glory with the top and all, but I DO NOT want to wheel wih the top on for fear of messing it up (not easily replaced). It also makes the Jeep REALLY top heavy which, even in my non-experience, I know is not a good thing for a trail vehicle.

Maybe I can ride over with it on and take it off for the weekend once everyone checks it out... It'd be really easy if I take off the rear door and the headliner here and just unbolt it.

Maybe this begs a poll post :D

Robert,

Rte 64-> 58 -> 85 -> 40

The Richmond gang is welcome to meet @ my place (couple miles off 64) then convoy on from there...

I think the Richmond folks will be better off with 64W to 81S all the way to TN. As much as I'd like to see it, them heading out to your place and down this way would be quite a bit out of the way for them.

yeah, it is - 54 miles out of the way, guess I'll go that way too..

Drat, that's what I get for telling the truth... I was afraid of that. But I have better... uhhh... I have... ummmm, ahhh... oh! We have a MadGoat! Isn't that worth an extra 54 miles??
:D

what're the dates

I haven't been hanging around this site in awhile. I don't know why, just to busy I guess. Anyway, I see yall are planning a Scrambler Run close by, so I read through the thread. I saw May 1 mentioned one time but I didn't see the full dates anywhere. May 1 is on Thursday, so I assume that's when some are heading out toward Windrock. I also, "assume" the trail runs are on May 3-4. Can somebody post a few more details? I'd be coming from South GA.

Thanks for the input guys. I may try to make the run. It would be a long run but I've been wanting to go to one of these for a while now. I might have a conflict with a fishing trip to LA.

What's the deal with no registration yet. I would of thought that it would of started by now. It's only two months away. Anyone know anything yet?

Nothing yet

Here is what i know and i will check this next week where we are standing on the registration,I know they had just secured the 2nd camp ground and are finishing up a few other details-I'll try to post something in the next few days and let everyone know what is happening-JC:D

Do you have the names of the camp ground yet? I pull my jeep down with an rv and would like to make rv reservations.

camp grounds

Sorry i've not had time this week to check on this stuff, but will on 2-25-03 the camp grounds will be primitive, but if your self contain then it won't matter, but as soon as i get a chance i'll make some calls and see what i can find out-JC:D

WINDROCK INFO UPDATE!

Ok guys here is what i have as of tonight and i will checking on this futher-

Registration is planed to be open April 1st

Campgrounds and motor homes-they are working on this as i type this, they hope to have an answer soon, there will be a place for you so don't sweat it,i don't believe at this time there will need to be any arrangements made in advance for your motorhome,if that changes i will let you know as soon as possible-there will not be any hook ups so you need to be self contained-I will check to see if there are any RV campgrounds in the area if you need or want me to.-JC:D

Thank you again. What town is the "event" being held at? It is about 750 mile as far as i can tell so i would like to find a camp ground that atleast has water hook up- no need to hall 65 gallons of water across half this great nation of ours.

Let me say how incredibly cool it is that you're coming from NJ for this... we met a great guy at Oak Ridge that came down from Mass. for that one, sweet Jeep too.

Can't you just fill up with water at some rest stop nearby or at least in TN on the way? It'd be a shame to come all that way and not camp out with the rest of us!

Besides, you could sell showers at the campsite and make a bundle for gas! :D

Humm sell showers!! that might be a good idea!! At 6 miles to the gallon when towing my junk and gas probably going to be around $2 a gallon i am going to need to do something. Was thinking of filling my water tanks up with some of that fine Tenn. wiskey to bring home and sell :)
