That top with the white wheels and body/sticker combo just feels perfect for exploring those beautiful beaches and towns all through the Carolinas right down into Georgia and Florida. On second thought, even without the top in that beautiful weather? Either way it's a win. Can't wait to see this when it's good to go.

Correct. See post #25. I have a set of 15x8s I had powder coated Snow White and wrapped them in some 32s.
When this build happens it will get a BDS 2.5” YJ conversion along with swapping in a set of wide tracks I have in the shed back home. It has a 4.5" Rubicon Express lift on it now and that's too tall for my liking.

Originally this had nutmeg interior and the half top is still nutmeg. However the interior was trashed so more than likely I’ll go with black interior when the build happens.
But you’re not wrong. If I can stomach the $$ for an all nutmeg interior this top painted to match would be cool. However keeping it white it could work on either this or my silver 83.

We have decided to sell our vacation home so Sunny Delight needed to come back to the lake. Decided to take some additional pics of her. I have the full white top listed for sale on the dreadful FB marketplace (along with on here) and have had numerous folks wanting to buy the entire thing.
It got me thinking about selling it and even entertained some offers but they were too low considering what's all there. Yes it is a complete project but aside from seats and maybe fuel lines I have everything except time and space at the moment. But I shouldn't make a rash decision just because of those.
So unless someone I know who'll love her for what she is reaches out Sunny Delight is going to stay. I'm actually now going to focus on selling the GTO. It's a great car and fun to drive however at the end of the day if my choice in classics are two Scramblers or 1 and a GTO - believe it or not I want the 2nd Scrambler. At the moment my Gladiator is sitting outside and with my OCD that drives me absolutely crazy. If I get the GTO gone it comes back inside.
Attaching the extra pics I took after getting it back home. Pics seem to show a lot of rust but it's actually all surface rust or glue from gaskets and such. I may mess with polishing up places here and there to see how much shine I can get back in this beauty. The PO had plans to paint it a gray from the Toyota line I think he said. THANK GOODNESS all he painted were the inside of the fenders and stopped. I can easily repaint those the original color and not think twice.
I hate where either the dealer or a PO mounted the radio antenna

More pics.... The driver's floor is covered in half-dried oil from where the PO stored engine parts during his rebuild. Places where I have cleaned it off show no real issues. Original half top has the dreaded bolts along the front lip where someone decided that was the smart way to re-attach the metal strip.

The rear two spots under the roll bar were replaced at some point in life. I will have to give someone credit - they did it WAY better than someone "fixed" the half top. the two squares were cut out and tack welded in place on 3 sides then glued in place along the sides. Therefor the paint wasn't burned on the outside. They did get carried away with their cutting tool and made some spots but all in all I'll take that considering the damage I have seen others do. I do have all four corners from Classic Enterprises I can use to replace these back two spots and potentially the front two if whenever the roll bar comes out I find damage. The two rear replacements are just flat without the ribs and we can't have that! And just like other places the rust seen is just surface rust. Bulkhead looks great - even the bottom lip.
The driver's rear frame has some cancer. I'm not worried about it due to having the awesome plates made by @CHIEFWAHO already sitting in my shed. The rest of the frame passed the hammer test. I even spent 2 mins doing a spit shine on the passenger inner rail.

So as the world turns... so do the days of our Scrambler ownership..
Sunny Delight has a new home about 15 mins from me. Guy who I've known for a couple years talked me out of it after seeing me post the full top for sale. His plans are to go back to stock keeping the patina as we see it. He'll do it justice that's for sure and I see it being a quick build. He has owned Scramblers in the past and has been eager to get back into one.
