What are you guys cooking!?

Watched a dismal W for my Buckeyes today. CJ 8-1/2 and I came back to the AS and cooked loaded baked ‘taters with a ribeye! A both fun and memorable day! I’m a lucky guy!
It’s sloppy because this is a cheat weekend, 26 pounds shed from this frame has helped immensely. 😋

Plan to smoke my first turkey this week. Should be fun.
I’m curious what type of smoker you are using ? 45 years ago my brother sold something called a Mr. Meat Smoker - charcoal with a water pan above the charcoal which kept things moist. It worked very well. What I’m saying is just don’t overcook it. Nothing worse than dried out turkey.

I use a weber smokey mountain. Charcoal with a water pan over it. I will cook to 160° and pull to rest. Need to get the brine and bag today.

That’s what my brother has been having a couple decades. Seems like it was called a bullet back then.

No pics but in prep for out 3 week trip to Texas I cooked up some marinated pork butt, cut into 3/4" cubes grilled on the Blackstone. Soy sauce, ginger, garlic, some pepper then seared on the BS. Also some fried rice. By precooking stuff we don't have to eat out as much and it is easy to nuke and not have to mess with cooking on days with no time to cook... Have some taco meat made up as well. This helps when you aren't set up with your RV for a long period of time to justify getting the small BS out and set up. Now you know... ;)
