Started the wiring harness job yesterday. Got the old ECM off the firewall and discovered my 81 is really an 82 when the lost VIN plate fell out from behind it. Oh, well, don't have to argue with the insurance co any more. Drove the OTHER 82 out to the same rock I parked the LJ on yesterday to check for rubbing on it. A little on the forward edge of the rear flare. Need more spring height, I reckon. And a pic of the LJ for comparision:

Dumb question. This is the second time in probably twenty or so reply's that when I put the attachments in the tread that they came out as a attachment you have to click, not as the attachment open. What am I missing the two times they didn't open. Thanks.

Currently for me your links say "invalid attachment"
Last night after I posted I could click the attachment and the picture would be a full screen pic. Now when I click it I get the invalid attachment like Shltr2 got. I'll try redoing the pics in a few minutes, thanks Shltr2 I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me. Thanks Vernon.

Adapters arrived from Novak for the AX15! Using the AMC bell housing so I can upgrade to hydraulic clutch at the same time. Dana 300 Clocking ring for the other end....

Not today - but my son and I took the Scrambler to the Dallas Cars and Coffee event this last Saturday. No competing with the Bugatti and McLaren, but we had fun and had a lot of people point out how cool the Scram is. I also met a fellow forum member but I am really bad at names. I think it was Steve? He had a great idea of using the clear plasti-dip to preserve the character. Great guy and a great idea.

Read through it about 3 times now, I'm going a little different by using the AX15 bell housing in order to run a hydraulic clutch. But a ton of useful information I've been poring over your thread for all the actual install tidbits.

Yep, I noticed the bell housing spacer/adapter, figured you were using the AX15 bell housing.
With the rear clocking ring, I think a 1" body lift might be necessary to clear the Dana 300, but let us know how it works out

Had to leave it in the driveway this morning. Backed it out to head to work (like I do every day) but when I stopped to go forward, it did not want to. It seems like I have a brake locked up in the front. I gassed it enough to put it back into the driveway (what a smell) and left it. Thank goodness a friend left her 4Runner at our house while she is traveling. Now to go see what the heck is up. First I have to fond out which wheel it is. Then take it apart. Ugh.
