What's on your Work Bench?

I know but it was on my work bench.. Lol. No there not the destructive . I needed to weights to hold down my steps to my pool. I filled them with stone and caped them. If someone seen these I would of def got arrested as they don't look anything like weights. But all good in the hood.

IMG_8193.jpgSo, body work is going on and some new plates arrived from some forum members... thanks to Brooklyn and Bad Karma.
Also received some other goodies that I don't have pictures of that need some cleaning.
I hope to get more on the body tonight and cleaning as well.

I've been gone to long but it's good to be back and see all my old friends still here. My work bench is down there somewhere.

Finally got all the sanding and other bits off the work bench so I can start on the body bolting down and getting other parts ready for assembly into the Jeep.

Question. I recently took hubs and rotors off and replaced them. When I put the new hubs and rotors on, I used my cheap 12V impact to put those nuts back on. Seems like I read somewhere that the inner nut should only be snugged up, then torque the outer down good. Guessing I need to pull my lockouts and loosen up that inner nut on my front hub/rotor? Anyone have torque specs?

Yeah, I could google it, but rather not spend a 1/2 hour looking through random results.

I had a buddy helping me... I'd never done it before. He has worked on both semis and light trucks. He said its kind of a learned finesse. His uncle taught him to tighten it down until you can't spin the hubs then "back it off a bit". He said a lot of people leave them too loose. He said that my driver's side was way too loose... The result a cracked race that wallowed out the inside of the hub. So we had to order a new hub (which ended up being a 5 bolt for the lockout instead of the 6 bolt that we needed! :banghead: so it's still on jack stands right now). As far as torque specs I have no idea, he mentioned that they can hard to find because everybody has their own opinion on how to do it. Hope I didn't make more confusion... I'm trying to learn all this stuff myself!

So on my office desk I have my brand new Honda 2000 generator that I'm converted to run on ng. Yesterday we had a black out in parts of bklyn . but didn't reach my house. I tried it anyways and worked great. Can't even hear this thing running and no smell from the exhaust even at full load.

On the inner nut, I tighten it until it almost stops the hub from turning. I then back them off where the hub spins free without almost any "in/out" movement. The inner nut sets the load on the bearing, the outer nut is just a jam nut to keep the inner nut from backing off, torque it to what the FSM says, can't remember:thumbsup:
