1983 Scrambler "STUMP JUMPER". Frame off, 5.3 Conversion.

I forgot step #7. Add up all the tickets and see what this rascal cost me. I might need to scratch #6 and double #5

While towing behind the moto rhome, how does that have to be done with the new engine/tranny/trans case combo... detaching rear drive shaft or is it ok to tow for a while, then start up, let it slosh around, then continue? Neutral fine?

I know there are a lot of ways to do it, just curious on your plan.
I know my in-laws when shopping for new tow behinds took a lot of consideration for what would have to be done to allow for the most ease of use towing.

Congrats on passing inspection first time through! Although I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

Your door/top plans sound great!

In glad you found a washer nozzle, because mine is still hiding somewhere.

Lastly- be careful with number 7. I cook have purchased a new Rubicon for what I have in mine. [emoji15]

CB... towing should be as simple as the transmission in PARK and the TC in neutral and the front hubs unlocked.

Randy....I know I could have bought a brand new Rubicon and a nice trail bike for each of us. But once upon a time I made a wish and it is finally coming true. But first you do have to dream.

Anyone can buy a truck, only a select few get to build their own.

Absolutly correct!

Congratulations on passing inspection. Seems like I dred that more than just about anything on the build. Never had any problems, but seems a lot of others have.

I would do some more research into flat towing a Dana 300 with the rear drive shaft hooked up, I don't want to see you damage your Scrambler :twocents:

One of the reasons why the Warn Full Float rear axle conversions were popular, unlock the rear hubs and flat tow worry free. I would disconnect the rear drive shaft, better safe then sorry :twocents:

NEVER MIND, FORGOT YOU DON'T HAVE A DANA 300

The list is getting shorter.

6. Drive the chit out of it, hook it behind the Fleetwood motor coach and go visit a few of you guys.

Gonna see you in South Dakota for the National Scramble? You could visit several of us in one shot!

I said I was building this Scrambler to drive and I have been, it now has 350 miles on it and drives like a dream.

That's the only way to build them! I drive / will drive everything I build!

My painter just called me and said the doors, top and bulkhead are finished. YAHOO! I'll pick it all up Sunday morning and can't wait to get it all back together. I'd get it tomorrow but the 2016 Hot Rod Tour is starting about 1/4 mile from my house in the morning and I want to be there.

Awesome news. And please take pics of the Hot Rod Tour.

Hot Rod Tour 2016-----------Simply WOW...........thousands of some of the finest cars around. I just simply could not even begin to take pictures. The facility where the show is being held is over 225 acres and already have run out of parking area. I feel sorry for some of those Yankee Snow Birds, it's going over 95 today and the humidity is over 95 too.
Welcome to Louisiana summer time.

PS. Now it's raining cats and dogs. I am glad it didn't take me very long to have my fun and get home.
I saw a nice 75 Scout11 from Indiana for 7K, I'm just glad the bank was closed today.
