SJScrambler - Getting Started

You guys need to plan on the 2020 SOA National. It’ll probably be closer than you may ever see again since it’ll be n northern Pa. You can meet with a lot of us.

I made some progress, but it was very hot and drippy last night.

It is amazing that a month ago people were complaining about the cold and this weekend is supposed to be over 100 and now it is "too hot"... MAKE UP YOUR MIND PEOPLE!

WE WANT THE TRUCK!! BRING ON THE TRUCK!!

:rotfl:

Body is off and gone, as is a lot of the smaller parts.

Very, very SWASSY out there today, but getting closer to freeing up the bay to move the truck back over.
My phone was actually covered in sweat... 100 degrees with a ton of humidity in NH today, yesterday and the day before.
Tuesday is 70 with rain... go figure.

I can't believe you guys down south deal with this stuff... having to go through 3 shirts in a day due to them being soaked is way too much.

Only 3 shirts? At times it can be a shirt every hour. But, on the other hand I don't own a snow blower.

Washing Machine let go last night, so I have to do something about that tonight/tomorrow, etc... but making progress, engine/drivetrain is out of this thing.

Too many things going on these days, but enjoying driving the kiddos to camp and going to work in this (I do realize it is not a Scrambler).
It is a toss up these days between this and the 1978 CJ7... one kid likes the newer and one likes the older... both like Jeeps, so it s a win.

That is a 2006 Unlimited Rubicon 6 speed.
I got it earlier this year, but recently have been driving/enjoying it a lot more.

So I was just about to get started on the cab to try to do more body work to close it in and this ended up following me home...

It was quite the ride home with it up higher on the SOA and lack of weight.
The TJ nose is an interesting choice, as is the 318/auto combo that is hiding in there.

The cab is in very nice shape, and I think it is going to become the new cab of the truck project.
I figure that will save me hundreds of hours of fabrication and I really di the look of the square doors and top on this.

I got the fenders/lights, cross member, running boards as well... it wasn't "complete" but it had a lot of the parts with it... once I get things removed and swapped around, all the CJ10a parts as well as the old cab will be going up for sale.

If you didn't have good luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. You must be constantly watching for jeep ads. Great find!

So, finally got some time after a big NJ trip to see Jersey and cleaning up for winter to get this thing moved out and starting to tear down for the new cab...

The remainder of CJ10 parts are for sale... the half cab is for sale as well from the Scrambler, has a factory slider in it, the cab as well... just need to get it broken down.

That new nose is growing on me color wise.

Garnet is a great factory color...

Good to see ya again..

I need to post what you brought me.. but to do that I need to take a picture first , then get back on here. But I will, next week ?
