What's on your Work Bench?

Finished my little metal roof project at my real job old cabinet shop building, came out pretty good if I do say so myself. Now, as long as no one hits it again with the fork lift mast raised should hold up for awhile :rotfl:

Mice like to eat holes through Pex pipe, makes a mess. Wrapping pex pipes with anti-mouse wrap.

I hate tegular ceiling tile, PIA to cut that little relief edge, and every damn tile in the affected ceilings had to be cut on at least one edge. Finished except for the bathroom light/exhaust fan tile in the center of bathroom.

This is at one of the rental buildings my employers own. More RedneckRay handyman work 😆

My work bench has been updating my son’s 1960’s ranch home. LVL beams, new floor joist, ceiling joists, remove aluminum wire, ready for paint… Looking forward to getting back to my Jeep work…

Installing a carplay monitor and backup camera in the Scrambler. Got it wired up. But not mounted yet. Want to come up with a way to mount it to the windshield bar of the cage. Ram mount maybe. Or maybe just hose clamps. Also, after wiring up the reverse camera trigger wire, the camera is not automatically coming on, so more investigating there. But so far, I am liking it. Camera mounted to the swing out spare tire mount.

Planning on something like this for mine when I get to that point (unless technology has moved on by then)
Can that be used with just an iPhone and speakers or does it need a head unit/amp?

How about something like this?

Or a rock-hard clamp, you could weld a tab or whatever to it. There are also "billet" clamps to mount lights to rollback and round bumpers.

I think it requires some sort of source. So a device that runs Carplay, Android Auto or Mirror Link. And it has its own speaker, but I definitely fed it to my head unit via bluetooth to run through my amp. I have not tested the mic to see if it picks up better than the mic that is connected to my head unit. That is useless when driving the Scrambler. Parked it is fine. I expect the same with the mic in this unit.

And thanks for the clamp link. That looks better than my hose clamp idea.

Did it on both driver and passenger side. I was going to move a switch into the armrest but that is one more set of wires to worry about when you flip the seat forward. The heated seats really do kick in.

Drove over to New Orleans yesterday to help Andy work on his '84 CJ7:

Was supposed to be an "easy" swap MSD ignition components to D.U.I. HEI distributor:

That was easy enough. Jeep was running poorly last time it was running back in November. Well, still not running, found more issues, but hopefully be able to get it going again soon.

Brilliant! I have Bestop covers on my seats, so adding seat heaters would be really easy, but I hadn't figured out where to put the switches. Didn't really want to drill holes in my Tuffy console for switches, so this idea fits the bill perfectly!

I used these conduit clamps. Thanks again.

Keeping the Scramblers tucked in.

Pretty sure they salted the bridges so will be driving the 392 the next few days until it rains a few times. And besides, heated seats are nice 😆
