What's on your Work Bench?

I had a bad coil on a Deere lawn tractor. It had me stumped a bit until I did a bit of research on it.

It’s actually next to the bench. Happy Birthday to my Jeep. Been a great 42 years. Well, there was a couple of years I was wondering if I would ever get it back together driving again. Thanks again Raymond. It’s hard to imagine what life would have been like if I hadn’t bought and kept it. :headbang: IMG_5075.jpeg

I finally got around to changing out my leaf springs this week. They’ve been sitting in my shop for a couple of years, brand new RE1451 springs and BDS full length add-a-leafs, bushings and u-bolts. Found a few issues, other than soft old springs, all of the main bushings were totally shot and a loose front shackle hanger. Lifted the Scrambler about an inch in the front and 3” in the rear. I can probably move up to 35’s from my current 33’s, plenty of room.IMG_7345.jpeg

35's would fill that nicely.

Personally, I like the way she looks with the 33's. Then again, I always did like plenty of room for articulation, even on my '95 YJ I had tires that I got told were "too small" lmao. I am thinking of going down to 33's just to get the 35's off of mine lol.

Not on my workbench but will be…. Thsi can’t be good. I love fixing something and finding two other things that are broken.IMG_2344.jpeg

Amazing how much pork my Scrambler has!
Unloaded: 2,360 Front 2,540 Rear Gross Weight: 4,900
Loaded: 2,360 Front 3,060 Rear Gross Weight: 5,420
Loaded is with 23 gallons of gas, 6 gallons of water, Dometic Refrigerator, Gazelle tent, spare parts, tools, recovery gear , food and everything for camping

Mine is a "stock" build and its fat!
Is that your Green or Red Scrambler. And is that unloaded?

And if that's unloaded, it's odd that your rear with an AMC 20 is heavier than mine with a Dana 60 and 35" tires. (including the 35" spare)

Red Scrambler. Bed loaded with tools, spare parts, camping stuff for Michigan. BUT weight in bed no more then 400 pounds of cargo. 20 gallon tank full.

Scrambler weight inducing add ons:

Front winch
Rear bumper tire carrier
Rock sliders
Gen Right gas tank skid plate
Rock Hard in cab cage
1/2 hard top and full steel doors

Powertrain stock 4.0, AX15, Dana 300, AMC 20 and Dana 30. Guess it's a good thing I run a full float rear!

How much weight are your vehicle tags good for.

I just put tags on a pickup in South Carolina and had to upgrade tags since standard tags were pretty much maxed out. So I upgraded to give me another 600 pounds of carry capacity. Upgraded tags are at 5000 lbs now.

Last time I weighed mine... it was 5200lbs ish. She's a fat bitch. That's with 60s, 37s, TDK frame, spare parts, tools, full cage and a partridge in a pear tree.
