top off, door off, took a drive and got caught in a down pour...not so bad driving against the rain got soaked when it was to my back.

I found one on ebay for my Mark VII with the whole mounting bracket I need, the cat logo was painted on the inside of the lens where the one still on the car is the metal part.

Its been so long since I replaced a radio in a CJ that I cant remember what the bracket looked like..I like Mr B's as it feels it also supports the radio, but the one that BRKLYN shows certainly looks more Jeepish LOL

Im bringing this thread back...The bracket Im looking for is for the AM/FM/CB. I believe the support bracket is different than the one mentioned here for the plain AM/FM radio. If there someone can give me a sketch with dimensions I'll have one made if some one has one for sale even better...

Im not sure if your year CJ has this but probably does from what your experiencing ..the rod into the MC from the brake pedal has a threaded adjustment on one end. I would start there.

Could be as simple as the wire from the coil to the distributor is bad or the distributor cap or rotor is bad, or the coil is shot. Sounds like you have juice to the coil but nothing coming out of it... I would try the wire first, its the cheapest. next I'd change the cap/rotor then the coil...
