When I look at the pictures of your engine compartment I see below the steering shaft and the fuse block a large almost square black device....what is that?
then the blue cylinder below that...is that the Charcoal canister?

I think the spice that you are looking at is a denim-like product that I have. It does not say it's denim but that's what I got. I made it clear to Jay that I did not want slick vinyl in spice color. Figured out the problem with the sound bar we discussed last week: the cage is 2 inches wider at the front than at the rear. So it fits in rear. Will use it and dump the other one.
The black box on the firewall is the brain for the Mopar injection set up. The gray canister below it is the charcoal canister. I believe they are all new for the system. Worked on it Friday night and discovered an uncapped line at the pressure regulator that caused us to remove the tank again and fix. Ran another line to the front for a vent to the canister. Discovered after several hours of work that there was no hot wire from the brain to the solenoid. Will install the radiator soon and fill with fluid. Bought new hoses for it today, and for heater core, and installed. Clock works but keep lousy time. Horn works. Turn signals work but blink slowly and in reverse at rear. All dash lights work. Need reverse lights. Slowwwwly ironing out the bugs.
If you decide to go ahead and have your dash bar covered in leather, please let me know how this turns out because I want to do the same to mine. The only originals I've found are either worn out and torn or really expensive.

Will Texas: will let you know when I do it. Tried to locate interior place locally but they appear to have moved or gone out of business. Will find another. Have a couple of things to do at one time.
Spankris- it pretty much is. Go to the Hesco site (the company is in Alabama) and they have the installation instructions there. The kit comes with everything. I was told that the fuel injection harness only has three wires--red, black, and yellow. I found all three. Very simple. The harness is entirely different from the Painless Harness. I was able to re-install the Hesco harness in a matter of minutes. I'll take pics if you need them.
MM1, 38 inches center to center. Rugged Rudge brand, matte finish. 57 or 8 sounds too long.
Just installed the master clutch cylinder; removed brake booster to reach it. Reinstalled all. Pin to clutch arm too short, will get longer one tomorrow somewhere. Hooked slave cylinder to bottom end too. Ran line and installed. Hope it's an easy conversion--heard there can be problems but it seems simple enough. Hooked up new starter switch on column too. Turns over so thats a good sign.
Took the weekend off and traveled to Columbus Ohio to see family and visit the Quarterhorse Congress and the Pumpkin Festival in central Ohio. Got a little done before we left and this afternoon when we returned.

Found remnants of soft 'chap' leather for cheap at the Quarterhorse Congress that I bought to use on the handle for the passenger. The color in the middle matches the interior the most closely. Will find someone who can make it now.
Opted to use the soundbar I purchased instead of returning it. The old one came out and this one went in its place. 6 speaker with lights. Need to run wiring to front floorboard and drill hole to route to the console. Can't decide if I need to drill thru the floorboard or not. Radio will be mounted in the console out of sight. Will do something with the other one.
Converting to hydraulic clutch. Installed the master and slave too. Hooked up under the dash.
Need to shorten the fuel line and attach and install a filter at the rear.... among alot of other things.
NO wonder I like you....on top of being one heck of a nice guy that shares information with anyone that ask...you also have ties to the south Columbus area
I spent many a childhood summers with my uncles and aunts in LockBourne Ohio and have attended the Circleville Pumpkin Festival a few times over the years
I have tried to convince my wife many times over the years that we should move to the Columbus area...almost had her there last year when one of the banks offered her a position on the north side of Columbus...oh well one of these days LOL
AK-You're right. I'll begin tearing it down immediately! Actually, those marks are from the vise grips to steer it before it had a steering column. Tried to remove it but could not disconnect at the bottom- was intending to have it blasted and powder-coated. Now I'll spray satin black.
MM1, I grew up south side of Columbus. Travel there every year for family and fun. Glad to live south, tho.
Bled the master clutch and it works fine. Started bleeding the brakes and need to finish. Got an Optima battery and installed and started it. Runs well after 1.5 years down. Drove it down the street, slowly since brakes don't really work. Hooked up the horn, it works, switched the headlite wire on one headlight and they work high and low beam--HID-- very bright. All the lights work but need to reverse the wires to the taillights as they are switched somewhere. Should not be too hard. All the dash lights work too. So far so good. Getting the bugs out. Will finish the brakes and install the fenders soon. Pics on the way...
