Drove it to work today! Ran out of gas about 2 miles from work. Luckily I had thrown the full 2 gallon gas jug in before I left.

Test run at K-Rocks! Was overall very pleased with it's performance. Need to make a few adjustments and it should be ready for Moab in a couple weeks.

The corner armor looks good...been thinking about it for the CJ5 as well as the Scrambler... did you end up making it or buying it?

Well the Scrambler performed pretty well in Moab. It did pick up it's new name 'Rat Rod' Scrambler!

Had to drop fuel tank, sending unit filter sock was not positioned properly and would only pick up fuel to half tank.
Also having some other fuel issue, thought it was fuel rail pressure regulator as we were only getting around 35 psi.
Changed pump and regulator and pressure still stayed around 35 psi?
We used some line pinch pliers on the return line to adjust the pressure to around 46 to 47 psi.
Had NO fuel problems after that. Not sure what to try next? Really don't think the pinch pliers should be a permanent fix!

Also a transmission issue, whenever on steep slope trans would slip.
Runs fine any other time, but this won't work for the trails.
Have another Cherokee XJ donor we will pull the AW4 out of it and try to get it in before the National

But what a cool and genius way to get through the weekend. Nice band aide

I read this and thought perhaps your fuel fill steel line and your return line were swapped... meaning the smaller one is the fill and the larger is the return.
If you had them swapped, it could result in not so much fuel coming in and too much going out... the pinch idea would the make the already small one larger and thus feed it what it needs.

I could be off base here, but it is possible. Isn't one supposed to be 5/16 and one 3/16?

Going to try and bring at least 3 trail rigs. Swapping a trans in the Rat Rod.
Not sure we will have time to get one of the pretty Scramblers ready.

And yes that is Ken Waters silver Scrambler.
