YES! Haven't had that in a long time, one of my favorites. We tried to manage a trip to Victory when we were in PA last week, but only made it to Stoudts.
Poured myself a glass of this after the chores were done and I had time to watch the Jets game (I know I know, they won... shocking!)
It was OK... not great... Monkey Fist IPA. It didn't seem to have the bite I was expecting as it was explained to me.
I also had a home brew chocolate stout from a neighbor. it was pretty good, but my wife was majorly disappointed. I said that sometimes they taste "a little" like chocoloate milk. She tried it and made a face. I guess I didn't convey the "little bit" enough!
Luckily I started in on beers early in the first half with an Old Rasputin, followed by an Espresso Love stout and a Stoudt's Revel Red, so I was only screaming at the TV instead of screaming AND throwing things.
It was the first time our new dog had experienced me watching a Ravens game properly (only other was Thanksgiving at the in-laws where I literally hurt myself from trying to restrain my emotions and yelling). I'm pretty sure he's now frightened to death of me.
Recently, I discovered a craft beer made in Colorado that uses all local Colorado ingredients. The hops, barley, yeast, water, etc...even the bottles, bottle tops and cardboard packaging is made in Colorado. It is the only beer in the world that is made and packaged with all native ingredients and it is available everywhere, but only in Colorado.
I think this is a neat idea, when considering "buying locally". It's sort of like the farmer's market of beers. For the environmentalist in all of us, it also provides a low carbon footprint from grower-to-consumer. Lastly, I think the name of the beer is very appropriate.
Have any of you Colorado members, or members that have visited Colorado, tasted this delicious beer?
